If you’re a lover of books about wellness and ageing I can recommend this one.

In my field as a nutrition coach and yoga instructor I find the field absolutely fascinating. So needless to say I’ve read lots and lots of books on the subject. Many great, so many are simply boring and spew out old news.

Not this one. This one is refreshing. The audiobook is narrated by the author and I love her real stories about her patients.

We hear the saying often that ‘60 is the new 40’. In this book she explains with scientific proof, why.

She talks about her 87 year old patient who took up weights for the first time. And an 85 year old who had no patience to be ill as she needed to get back to care for her ‘elderly’ friend. The friend was only 74.

But the real take home message for me was, our attitude and expectations toward ageing will have everything to do with our longevity and of course it’s quality.

I’m an audiobook freak these days and I recommend this one if you’re embracing health in your silver years.
