Hi Link family,

After carefully reviewing the weather forecasts and associated safety risks, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Domestic Violence Awareness Month Fundraiser BBQ scheduled for Friday, 29 May 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. We know how important this event was to our staff, sponsors, supporters, and broader community.

Over recent weeks, an enormous amount of planning, preparation, coordination, and support has gone into bringing this event together. We know many people were looking forward to attending and standing alongside us in support of such an important cause.

A very special shout out and thank you to Julie Hohn and Taleah Spencer for coordinating and organising this event behind the scenes. The amount of time, effort, planning, and dedication you both contributed did not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for all of your hard work and commitment to this important cause.

To our guest speakers Kelly and Deb from DVAC, and Joy Edwards from Link Community Services, thank you for your willingness to share your time, advocacy, lived experience, and support with our community. Your contribution to these important conversations is deeply appreciated.

We are also proud to confirm that all funds raised will be donated to DVAC (Domestic Violence Action Centre) in support of the important work they continue to do within our community.

💼Role - Administration
💌What you love about working in this Industry - Seeing the difference our care makes in the lives of our participants, and getting to laugh with my wonderful coworkers every day is the best part of what I do.
🚴‍♀️Hobbies - I enjoy gardening, collecting vintage barbie dolls and plan on spending lots of long weekend's site seeing in our caravan
✈️Dream travel destination - I plan to travel around Australia visiting all the zoo's/aquariums
🍔What is one food you couldn't live without - Can't contain to just one - burgers, steak, chocolate, the list goes on.
🤔If you could swap jobs with anyone, who and what would it be -
Any Politician so that I can try to understand how they come to some of the decisions that they do

Welcome to Monday! A new week, a new episode of 'Meet the Team Monday'.

This weeks spotlight is Joy!

💼Role - Head of NDIS Operations & Growth
💌What you love about working in this Industry - Being able to walk alongside participants, supporting their independence and assisting them to navigate and understand the supports available to them through the NDIS is extremely rewarding. I also love hearing peoples individual stories.
🚴‍♀️Hobbies - Attending shows and Musicals, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and computer games
✈️Dream travel destination - I would love to go back to England and meet extended family and do a tour of the castles.
🍔What is one food you couldn't live without - Not strictly a food - but tea. The stronger, the better! I also have a sweet tooth, so any bakery treat.
🤔If you could swap jobs with anyone, who and what would it be -
Princess Catherine of Wales - she is involved with so many worth while charities and causes and meets all kinds of interesting people. She also has access to beautiful jewellery and clothes.
