🍲 SOUP NIGHTS AT DRAYTON VILLAS 🥣
Our Soup Nights are quickly becoming a regular and popular event during these chilly winter days and nights at Drayton Villas!

Residents are invited to come along and enjoy a delicious bowl of homemade soup, served with bread and butter — and most importantly, some great company. It’s a lovely way to skip the cooking and avoid eating dinner alone.

A big thank you to our amazing Social Committee for always stepping up and making these nights warm, welcoming, and full of community spirit!

Drayton Villas served up a delicious Aussie Pie & Pour Lunch on Tuesday, 8th July to celebrate the arrival of our brand-new pie warmer and bar fridges!

We’re sure everyone will agree — the pies were hot and tasty, and the drinks were perfectly chilled. It was a wonderful afternoon of good food and great company.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the lunch such a success. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves! 😃

👋Say hi to Alan. Green thumb and bartender extraordinaire, Alan has been a part of the community here at Drayton Villas Retirement Village for the past 7 years. Involved with the Gardening Club and a key part of Thursday happy hour, Alan hadn’t originally planned to live in a retirement village.

“My favourite part of living at Drayton Villas is the community itself. We all help one another and keep an eye out for one another.”

We asked Alan what he’d say to those thinking about retirement living: “You’ve got to downsize before moving in. And remember to get involved, that’s the key to living in a retirement village. It’s not the end, it’s another chapter.”

👋Say hi to Michelle, the kind and vivacious Administration Assistant here at Drayton Villas Retirement Village.

From welcoming visitors at reception to leading exercise classes, writing the newsletter and even troubleshooting iPads, Michelle’s days are full and varied. But her favourite part of the role? The residents.

“We’ve got the best residents—they’re lovely. Some are my parents’ age and it feels like extended family. What I’ve learned is everybody needs love and someone to listen to them.”
