Cooking up a storm in the kitchen last night 🔥

Daniel was on the tools and absolutely smashed it!

There’s something about good food, a bit of chaos, and a whole lot of love that just hits different. From chopping and stirring to taste-testing (the best part), it all came together perfectly.

Nothing fancy - just real, hearty, made-with-love goodness. Our kind of therapy here at MNK, well done Daniel!

Daniel and Helen have been out and about making the most of the beautiful weather, exploring some of our local bush walking trails 🌿🚶‍♂️

Spending time outdoors like this is so important — not only for physical health, but for mental wellbeing too. From the fresh air and peaceful surroundings to the simple joy of good conversation, it’s moments like these that really make a difference. Daniel embraced every part of the adventure, taking in the scenery and enjoying the experience step by step.

It’s always so special to see these moments unfold — building confidence, creating memories, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

And of course, after a big day of exploring, it’s safe to say Daniel more than earned his ice cream 🍦👏 The perfect (and well-deserved) way to finish off such a great day 🌲☀️

Sue has been keeping busy with her puzzles and games lately — and we can confidently say she’s unbeatable when it comes to Connect Four! 🎲👏 She’s been giving all of our girls a real run for their money.

Board games are so much more than just a bit of fun. They build connection, encourage thinking and strategy, and create opportunities for laughter, conversation, and shared moments. It’s in these simple activities that the most meaningful memories are made.

Moments like these are the ones we cherish forever, and the smile on Sue’s face truly says it all 💛😊

We would like to recognise Jenna as our Staff Member of the Month for January.

Jenna brings such a warm, calm, and caring presence to her shifts. She consistently goes above and beyond to support the people she works with, always showing patience, understanding, and genuine compassion. Her ability to ensure all her clients are receiving the highest level of care is never forgotten, and she contributes so much to both the team and the environment around her.

There’s truly nothing better than a big bowl of hot chips on a cold day 🍟❄️

Julie and Jenna recently spent some time exploring the Cobb & Co Museum, soaking up the history and sharing plenty of stories and laughs along the way. After their adventures, they warmed up with a nice big bowl of hot chips — the perfect way to top off a lovely day together.

We couldn’t be more proud of Andrew and everything he’s been achieving lately! 👏✨

Over the past few days, Andrew has been making the most of his time in Brisbane, exploring the city alongside Georgie while also committing to two full days of professional development at Endeavour. It’s been such a fantastic opportunity for him to build on his skills, grow his confidence, and continue working towards his goals.

Watching Andrew step outside his comfort zone, embrace new experiences, and show such dedication to his personal and professional growth has been truly inspiring. Opportunities like this don’t just happen — they come from hard work, determination, and a willingness to give things a go, and Andrew has shown all of that and more.

And of course, after a big couple of days of learning and adventuring, there’s nothing better than winding down with a well-earned cold beer 🍻

We’re so excited to see what’s next for you, Andrew — this is only the beginning!

Today is International Women’s Day, and I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible women who make up the heart of MNK Support Services.

These women show up every day with compassion, patience, strength and resilience. They care for people in some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and they do it with dignity, kindness and heart.

The work is not always easy. It can be emotional, challenging and demanding. But time and time again, I watch these women step up with grace and genuine care for the people they support.

I am so proud of the team we have built. Women supporting women, lifting each other up, and making a real difference in the lives of others.

To all the incredible women at MNK, thank you for the care, the laughter, the dedication and the heart you bring into this work every single day.

You are truly valued, appreciated, and seen.

Sometimes it really is the little things that make the biggest difference in our days ☀️💛

Yesterday, Susie and Georgie enjoyed a beautiful coffee together at Wilsonton Bakery ☕️🥐 There’s something so special about getting out into the community, sharing a laugh, soaking up the atmosphere and simply enjoying each other’s company. It wasn’t just about the coffee (although it was delicious! 😍), it was about connection, conversation and creating meaningful moments together.

These small outings bring so much joy and remind us how important it is to slow down and appreciate the simple pleasures in life 🌸✨ We are so proud to support moments like these that build independence, confidence and happiness 💕

Here’s to more coffee dates and community adventures! 🫶☕️
