The power of a united family shows that we can achieve anything.
My dad who I never saw again for 59 years is found by my cousins beautiful wife and as a family of 4 we united as a family to support each other to not only find his grave at the cemetery.. pay for his grave which had been abandoned for 10 years so needed backpay. Rectify paperwork and find some flowers...
This included his ex wife ( my mum) who had bad experiences with him.
This is what we can achieve if we just put our differences aside and unite..

All in one day.

Watching someone you love, that has fought so hard to beat addiction, throw everything away and sink back into a life that will most likely lead to jail or death, is one of the hardest things you will ever do. You want to help them back to a clean and sober way of life but you realize by doing this, as you have so many times before, will now just be enabling them because it will show them that you will always be there to bail them out. You want to grab and shake them and say "Wtf are you doing" but at some point you realize that it wouldn't make a difference. So you sit back and watch the tragedy unfold, as if you are watching a movie. Feeling helpless to stop it, feeling like you haven't done enough to help, even though you know only the addict can help themselves.
Loving a drug addict or an active alcoholic is the hardest thing you will ever have to go through.
Battling a drug and/or an alcohol addiction is a beast for the person addicted and the ones who love them. So l am asking you to stand with me in prayer for every family member and friend who has lost their battle with drugs and alcohol and those who continue to conquer it.

Being unwell can get us down, depressed, sad, feeling frustrated, even angry.
However life is full of ups and downs and these ups and downs should not leave us feeling empty.
Buddha believed in keeping every feeling and thought on a even level to avoid the ups and crashes.
I find a better outcome when I keep my mind strong and focused on the positive.
There are always times of negative attacks, stress of lack of funds, nasty words said, people putting you down , small accidents, things we wish didn't happen.
Those things I cannot control. However knowing that my reaction to these negatives can Contribute to my ill health . Therefore keeping one's mind strong to avoid feelings of anger or negative emotions can assist us in staying balanced staying focused in finding positive outcomes.
I learnt years ago that even if your attacker is family that seeing them for who they are is much more positive than taking it to heart.
Don't let the ruts in the road pull you under.
There are many ways to heal , the only way to see the answer is to stay above the surface of the abyss.
