Your biggest ally is your future self and your future self relies solely on you.

The choices we make and the difficulties we choose are the difference between a future that is completely devoid of happiness or a life that is full of purpose and joy.

The position your future self ends up in is a lagging response to the habits your current self holds today. If your future self ends up in a bad financial situation it is because of the financial habits you hold today. If you have good physical habits today then your future self will be in good physical shape.

If a ship is sailing through the sea and is 1 degree off the target it doesn’t make much of a difference in the short term but over an extended period of time that ship is in a completely different ocean. Similarly, a habit that hurts your future self isn’t a problem in the short term but it’s the repetition over time that will put you in the wrong place. The inverse is true also.

Discipline today is freedom tomorrow. Start consciously steering your ship. Your future self is counting on you.

First park run in Toowoomba and Ethan’s first 5km!

Ethan has exceptional motivation and lofty goals. We break them down and work towards them methodically.

Where he is now compared to where he was 18 months ago is extraordinary and he still has places to go and goals to kick

Quality support work is walking (or running) beside someone to help them be all they can be. Not just doing it for them, but having them stretch just outside of their comfort zone for continual growth. 1% better everyday!

If this is the sort of support you want for yourself or your loved one, send us a DM or call us on 0447564448 🙏

HEARTWARMING: Joe Ingles has a son diagnosed with autism who had never been able to watch his father play due to the sensory overload of NBA games. Jacob Ingles attended his first game when the Timberwolves played the Pelicans earlier in the week, however, Joe Ingles did not receive any minutes.

The next game with his son in attendance again, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch not only decided to play Joe Ingles, but gave him his first start in 3 years 🥹

Post Update!

58 days ago Lachlan Stuart started the impossible challenge of 58 marathons on consecutive days in 58 different states (50 in the US and 8 in Australia) in an attempt to raise money for mental health. At this stage he has raised an enormous $130,000.

In support of Lachie, I did what I could and completed 58 push ups, 58 sit ups and 58 squats for the same 58 days.

Just now I completed my total of;
3,364 push ups
3,364 sit ups
3,364 squats
Over the last 58 days

My challenge pales in comparison to what Lachie has just about completed. I couldn’t be prouder of him and watching his journey day to day has been a fantastic insight into the mindset it takes to accomplish such a monumental challenge.

Congratulations mate 🙌

Original Post

THE CHALLENGE STARTS TODAY!!

I am doing the “58-58-58 for 58 days”

That is 58 pushups, 58 sit-ups and 58 squats for the next 58 days

The reason the magic number is 58 is because this challenge is in support of from who is taking on a monster challenge.

I have been friends with Lachie since the days of being young, dumb and aimless. Eventually something switched and his life has improved exponentially.

Lachie is going to be completing 58 marathons (42.2kms) over 58 consecutive days in 58 different states and territories (50 US states and 8 Australian States and Territories).

He is doing this to raise money for the Mental Awareness Foundation to help support frontline mental health services, like connecting those contemplating su***de to life-saving support or providing counselling sessions.

Lachie has already raised $57,000 and it is growing. He hasn’t even started the journey yet.

If you want to follow along of Lachies journey, make a donation or even do your own challenge please visit https://www.mentalawarenessfoundation.org/58-2-58

As Lachie would say “Do something today to be better for tomorrow”

🙋‍♂️🏃‍♂️‍➡️10km to help fund raise for Autism.

I'm fundraising to help kids with autism live their best lives
April is Autism Awareness Month and I’m being AWESOME for kids with autism by joining a 2025 AEIOU Fun Run.

AEIOU Foundation help give children with autism the best start in life. They have centres that offer fun, safe and engaging spaces for children with autism, combining therapy, specialist education and care in one place.

By donating to my page you are helping AEIOU to provide:
✅ Early diagnosis for autism
✅ Early intervention
✅ Family support & resources.

Research proves when an autistic child is diagnosed EARLY and gets the support they need EARLY, it's life-changing.

Will be AWESOME for autism and make donate whatever you can to my page on the link down below!
Thank you so much for supporting this amazing cause!

I'm raising money for a cause close to my heart and would love your support.

One of our participants who has done and amazing job of turning her day to day life around has had her story written about by Recovered Futures Art Exhibition.

After our psychosocial coach Scott recommended that she try something outside of her comfort zone Ezekiel entered some of her art into their exhibition.

This is a quote from Ezekiel;
“Don’t let it destroy you, keep going, it will get better. If you can’t make it through the next five minutes, make it through that one minute, make it through that one second, make it through that one breath. That one breath will lead onto another breath and another one and before you know it, you’ll find yourself at the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition having the time of your life! Those little gems in life are worth hanging on for.”

t’s that time of year where everyone sets a New Year’s Resolution. I have had the same resolution for years. It’s not to push any pull doors, and not to pull any push doors (I have never made it past February)

The problem I have with an actual resolution goes two ways.

The resolution could be too vague. Such as “I want to exercise more”. The problem with this is you can’t measure your success because you are not able to complete it.

The resolution could also be too measurable. Such as “I want to lose 10kgs”. The problem with this is that once you do it you have lost your motivation to keep going because you completed your goal.

A better resolution is something like “I want to become a healthy person by doing something physically active each day”. This touches on identity change which is your greatest tool in changing your habits and . Do something each day that reinforces the identity of a healthy person. Become a healthy person, don’t just do healthy things.

“The goal isn’t to read every day; it is to become a reader. The goal isn’t run every day; it is to become a runner”
- James Clear

I saw a show the other day where they spoke of doing a New Year’s Word rather than resolution. Instantly the word ‘focus’ came to mind. So that is going to my new year word.

FOCUS
FOCUS on my relationships
FOCUS on my habits
FOCUS on my work
FOCUS on what is in front of me

Hopefully this will help me use doors correctly this year

If you decide to make a difference in your life by choice this activates a ‘challenge’ area of the brain, the hypothalamus. The dopaminergic system originates here, and it mediates exploratory behaviour and striving. You are rewarded by receiving doses of dopamine one of the brains neuromodulators. You feel a sense of accomplishment as you travel along this new path of self-improvement. No matter what the challenge is every time you take steps towards your goal you are rewarded with a hit of dopamine. Dopamine has been shown to increase focus, motivation, and overall well-being. This gives you a leg up in your voluntary challenge.

The other time you will make a change in your life is when you are forced to. This need to act originates from the ‘survival’ area of the brain, the amygdala. The amygdala governs the ‘fight or flight’ response. Suppose you are told that you are pre-diabetic and if you don’t make a serious change in your lifestyle soon, you will be forced to take insulin and medication for the rest of your life or die. This news will be quite stressful and will force you to make changes. Along with this need to make changes there will be a constant release of the ’stress hormone’ cortisol. While cortisol does play an important role in your body’s function, it is also linked to higher blood pressure, lowered immune response and digestive issues. Now you need to take on your forced challenge with extra weight on your shoulders.

Think about these two cases and decide which one you would prefer to go through. In one case your body is REWARDING you with a dose of dopamine every time you move towards your goal. In the other case your body will PUNISH you with a dose of cortisol any time you take an action that doesn’t work towards your goal. Either striving for improvement from a place of motivation or defending your life from a place of stress.

Voluntarily choose to take on life’s challenges, don’t wait until you are forced to by life’s circumstances.
