This weekend was the first weekend since the start of the year that neither Paul nor I had to work.
Most weeks we are just crossing paths. Heading in different directions. Quick conversations about what the kids need or what is coming up next.
Six days a week. Three businesses. Three kids. School runs, swimming lessons, multiple sports. And of course. Training. Training. And more training. Day courses, afternoon courses, night courses and courses that sent us away.
January and February have seen a huge increase of students through our classrooms. So much so that both months have topped the charts from the past four years with Allens Training. Something we are incredibly proud and grateful for.
So this weekend we switched off.
We packed the new caravan and camped in our back paddock. Fire going. Spuds in the coals. Snags, steak and marshmallows.
The kids thought it was the best thing ever. Running around with their mini Bunnings buckets, playing on the dirt mound (one of their favourite spots) and living their best little lives while we sat back, laughed, joined in on their imaginative play and soaked it all in.
Sometimes simple is exactly what you need. And this weekend was well overdue. 🤍🔥🏕️
