Oh what a beautiful Sunday adventure we had!!!

Thank you so much to the beautiful souls who were able to come along today - I appreciate you all so much and can’t wait to connect again soon.
I extend a warm welcoming invite to anyone who is able to come along next time to join us(any and all your ideas are so welcome here).

Thank you so much for the tech savvy sweeties in our group who taught me a thing or two about social media event planning(not tech savvy here and learning as I go).

To the absolutely beautiful Staff at Cobb & Co, Parkhouse Cafe, Cafe Valetta and the GPO…you are all amazing and thank you so much for your patience and efforts to accomodate us.

Sincere apologies to Park House Cafe that we didn’t make it to you on this occasion due to smaller numbers (I over estimated and will form an event next time so I can keep better track of numbers) but we will make an effort to include you in future events so we can sample your delicious food and coffee. You were so kind to me when I rang to cancel(thank you Bonnie for being so understanding).

Things we learned today -

Cobb & Co make the most delicious fluffy fresh scones if you are ever craving a Devonshire tea experience. They serve a wonderful merlo coffee for those that love a stronger brew.
We also loved having a little wander through the gift shop and the mood rings were a fun little nostalgic conversation starter.

Cafe Valletta has the most delicious breakfast items on their menu and make a delicious pie - a very smooth and velvety coffee gentle on the palette.
I highly recommend the panacotta breakfast with passionfruit balls, Museli & fresh fruit.

GPO - has the most interesting fresh & tasting menu - in our group we sampled the most amazing crab net spring rolls - the best crispy pork bao buns - Vegie wraps - Thai beef salad & to die for spicy wings.
They also had an amazing cool drink option of a citron perfect for a warm day which had lemon and lime, fresh mint and soda water.
The Coffee was nice and strong also we liked the ambience and the quieter space with beautiful background music.

Hello coffee lovers of Toowoomba - Coffee Crawl Jan 22nd 2023

I want to firstly thank the beautiful cafes of Toowoomba for accomodating us - this weeks Cafes are Cobb and Co, Parkhouse Cafe, Cafe Valletta & GPO. All involved have been so kind and understanding when I know sundays are one of the busiest days of the week for our Toowoomba cafes.

I have organised a 9am gathering at Cobb & Co - they have kindly offered to open half an hour earlier for us and are serving us their famous fresh fluffy scones with or cake & a coffee or tea for just $9.90. Thank you so much.

Then we will have a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Queens Park
While in the park we will smell the roses, visit the dog park and check on some possums we know and of course the memorial gardens.

Once at Parkhouse Cafe and Cafe Valetta who will share the love ❤️ (we will split into three groups at this stage) which I will help with I have two bookings at both cafes about 11am.

Cafe Valetta has a table for 8 booked under my name Lisa Chant and Parkhouse cafe has one table for 20 and two extra tables of five (total of 30) booked under Toowoomba coffee lovers. Myself and anyone as “fit as a fiddle” will have our coffees in the beautiful park just to avoid overcrowding the cafes at this time.

I ask for your kindness and understanding in allowing people with any injuries and our gorgeous golden oldies of our group first preference with seating at all of our venues.

Then GPO is putting on some delicious lunch fare (still to be decided on) & coffee at about 1pm we have a booking and they have accommodated for 50.

Toowoomba Coffee lovers and friendly caffine fiends

I am in the process of organising some coffee crawls walks to cafes and coffee places taste testing and picking our faves -

looking at this beautiful long list of wonderful coffee shops in our locality I first want to say how blessed I feel But for our adrenals we may need to do a round once a month for a year to get through them all but what a wonderful way to meet our fellow coffee drinkers and have lovely conversations over our beverages of choice -

Lets kick off with a Sunday morning stroll thru queens park how are you all with next Sunday? - We could all meet at Cobb and co and then do Parkhouse, cafe Valletta and GPO first and then see if we can handle our coffee ☕️

we will also stop to smell the roses on the way and wander through our simply gorgeous parklands. Perhaps thru puppy wonderland (what I call the off leash park in queens park)…it’s one of my favourite places in the world.

I will contact the cafes in person this week (so they know we are coming )and ask them if they would like to participate and be included in anyway and see how we go(I’ll keep you posted).

It’s a long and lovely list & thank you so much for the enthusiasm and good advice.

I also feel that you are all such passionate coffee lovers and all of these beautiful cafes have so much to offer that we should try to include them all in stages

- the next stage might be a town crawl

- a garden cafe crawl

- then a drive thru rally lol 😂
