Hi Magenta Fam, this week from 6th to 13th July is NAIDOC Week!!! 🥰
An annual celebration that recognizes and honours the history, culture, and achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. 🖤💛❤️💚🖤💙🤍
The 2025 theme is "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy", which emphasizes the importance of the next generation in shaping the future of our Indigenous communities. 🌱
Here's just a few of the events happening in our local Magenta Communities to help you celebrate:
Toowoomba:
Wednesday 9th July, 10am – 2pm, Wine Drive Park, Wilsonton Heights
Our Kids, Our Next Generation, Free Family Fun Day
Mura Biri Gururu Aboriginal Dances, Stalls and Giveaways, Face Painting, Indigenous Games and Ball Games, Free BBQ Lunch, Elders Tent.
Lismore:
Wednesday July 9th, 10 am to 2 pm at Crozier Field.
Celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, music, and community.
Including live music, cultural activities, community stalls, and more.

The Walaaybaa Rangers will lead the burn in partnership with Local Land Services and the NSW Rural Fire Service at Bective TSR, Bective Reserve Road. All community members are invited to join in and build their skills in this traditional practice.
