One decision. A lifetime of difference.

This DonateLife Week, we’re joining the call for more Australians to register as organ and tissue donors. While 4 in 5 people support donation, only 1 in 3 are actually registered.

At Intrinsic Health, we see the life-changing impact of organ and tissue donation in real time — when a new heart means someone can walk again, when a transplant gives a person their voice back, or when a second chance allows someone to return to their everyday life.

Our allied health team — physios, OTs and speech pathologists — support people before and after transplant through rehabilitation, mobility, daily living skills and communication.

This week, talk to your loved ones, check your registration, and consider being the reason someone else gets to live fully again.

Check today for a healthier tomorrow.
This National Diabetes Week, we’re reminding Australians that early action can change the course of your health.

Diabetes is one of the fastest-growing chronic conditions in the country — and many people don’t even know they’re at risk. Whether you’re living with diabetes, supporting a loved one, or unsure about your own health, a check-up could be life-changing.

If you live with diabetes, regular checks for your eyes, feet, blood pressure and kidneys can help reduce the risk of serious complications down the track.

At Intrinsic Health, our allied health team supports people with:
🦶 Joint protection, circulation and mobility (Physio)
🏡 Daily routines, energy conservation and safety (OT)
🗣️ Support with swallowing or cognition challenges (Speech Pathology)

Small steps make a big difference. Let’s take them together.

“The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.”
This year’s NAIDOC theme is more than a celebration — it’s a call to reflect, respect, and rise.

At Intrinsic Health, we’re proud to stand beside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, families and communities. Whether it’s through supporting children’s development, enabling independence at home, or restoring movement and communication after injury, our allied health team walks with people on their own terms — guided by deep listening, trust, and community connection.

As NAIDOC marks 50 years, we honour the legacy of those who’ve paved the way — and the next generation who carry that vision forward. We’re here to do the work that uplifts, empowers and strengthens community. Not just for this week, but for the long road ahead.

🎤 From clinic to cattle yards — where voices matter most.

Earlier this month, our Senior Speechie Jess joined a team of speech pathologists in Roma to support the ALPA Queensland Auctioneers School — helping the next generation of auctioneers master their most important tool: their voice.

Through sessions on voice projection, breathing, and vocal care, the team supported these professional voice users to preserve their vocal health and enhance their performance.

Speech pathology goes beyond communication and swallowing — we help people stay connected to the things that matter, whether it’s speaking at home or calling bids in the saleyards.

The National Disability Insurance Agency has released its annual Pricing Review. While we fully support fair and sustainable funding across the sector, we oppose several of the pricing decisions made, which do not reflect the real-world costs of delivering high-quality therapy — particularly in regional and remote communities.

🔎 Provider reimbursement for travel costs have been halved. This will place significant pressure on the ability for allied health service providers to deliver services in the home, in community and in schools. To ensure continued support of our current and future clients, part of our response to the announced changes will be a greater emphasis on in-clinic services.

Our leadership team is currently reviewing the changes in detail. We will provide clear information and updates to all clients whose services may be affected.

We remain committed to partnering with you through this transition — and through NDIS reforms planned for the coming years.

Our priority is, and always will be, ensuring access to safe, person-centred allied health service — no matter where you live or how you are funded.

14/06/2025

Our CEO and Senior OT, Javier, recently travelled to western Queensland to support a client — a powerful reminder that delivering genuine impact means meeting people where they are.

This visit reflects our belief that high-quality, person-led support should never be limited by geography. It’s how we deliver service excellence, drive meaningful change, and empower every individual to live with greater independence and purpose.
