Recently, the Historical Motor Cycle Club of Queensland Inc. (HMCCQ) – Toowoomba Area rode into the Toowoomba Hospice carpark for a quick stop on their weekly coffee ride.

Our Hospice Chairman, Graham Barron OAM, and Committee Member, Graham Healy, welcomed the riders and thanked them for their generous donation. They also reflected on our long partnership — one that began even before the Hospice was built, when the Club contributed to help make our Hospice a reality.

The Toowoomba Hospice would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Toowoomba FX–FJ Holdens Inc. Club for their incredible support through the All Holden Day 2025.

Funds raised from this fantastic community event are being shared between the Toowoomba Hospice and the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, helping both charities continue their important work in our local community.

🎄 Wonderful News – Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland has officially launched! 🎄

We’re so proud that the Toowoomba Hospice is once again part of this much-loved community tradition, hosted by the Lions Club of Toowoomba West Inc in partnership with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd.

Now in its 23rd year, this incredible event has raised over $1.6 million to support local charities that care for people doing it tough across our region. 🌟 Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and us Toowoomba Hospice

The countdown is on! The gates open in just one month, and we can’t wait to see everyone come together again to celebrate the true spirit of giving. ✨

It was wonderful to attend the launch of the Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland at City Hall this morning! 🌟
This magical event kicks off on 6th December — and they’re calling for volunteers to help make it shine.

🍦 From handing out free ice-creams and popcorn, to selling food and drinks, greeting visitors, and spreading festive cheer — there’s a fun role for everyone!

❤️ It’s the perfect way to give back, meet new people, and celebrate the joy of the season. Why not grab your friends, family or workmates and volunteer together?

🕕 Volunteers work from 6:30 – 10 pm nightly and must be 15 years or older.

BENEFICIARY SPOTLIGHT // Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland proudly supports the local charity, Toowoomba Hospice. 🎉

❤️ The Toowoomba Hospice is a community-based private healthcare facility. The free palliative care facility has been designed to provide patients with a family-friendly ‘home-like’ environment for terminally ill patients in their final life stages.

Last year, with help from our community, we raised $86,300! These donations make an incredible impact on the lives of those in need. 🤩

🎁 These funds were evenly distributed to our major beneficiaries, which included Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, Toowoomba Hospice and Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd, as well as community groups: SES Toowoomba, Darling Downs Girl Guides and the Toowoomba Historical Society Inc.

We can't wait to do it all again this year! 🎊

Join the team at Toowoomba Hospice: a compassionate, community-driven organisation providing end-of-life care.

📍 Location: Toowoomba
🕓 Permanent Part-Time: 30 hrs/week (Mon–Fri, with occasional weekends)

We’re looking for an energetic, organised and creative individual to plan and deliver fundraising events, connect with the community and support our mission of care and compassion.

💜 Diploma in Events or equivalent experience
💜 Strong communication & admin skills
💜 Confident using Word, Excel, Canva & social media
