We will be raising Dominic up in a boom lift at the Hang Ya Boss Out To Dry fundraising event. We won’t be letting him come down again until he raises a minimum $3,000 to support Toowoomba Hospice's free and compassionate palliative care services provided to our community.

This National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the incredible volunteers who are at the heart of Toowoomba Hospice.

Our volunteers make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families every single day.

This year's theme, "Your Year to Volunteer", is a reminder that there has never been a better time to give back to your community.

A good conversation about palliative care does two things. It helps the people around you understand your healthcare preferences, and it tells services what to prioritise. That might include comfort, where you would like to be cared for, cultural or spiritual needs, and who you want involved in decisions, so care lines up with what matters most.

Hang Ya Boss Out to Dry is nearly here!

📍 Harvey Norman Centre
⏰ 6.00am – 8.30am

This year, we’re aiming high… $60,000 high—and we’re looking for a few good sports willing to step up for a great cause. Raise the most, and you’ll not only earn some well-deserved bragging rights, but you could also secure the opportunity to host next year’s event at your workplace.

Here’s how it works: On the day, participants will be lifted in a cherry picker or scissor lift and “Hung Out to Dry.” To make your way back down, you’ll need to raise a minimum of $3,000 from your network—colleagues, clients, family, and friends.

It’s as simple as $200 from 15 supporters or $100 from 30. It’s a light-hearted challenge with a meaningful impact—helping us continue to offer our fee free End-of-Life care to those who stay with us at the Toowoomba Hospice.

Our Mother’s Day High Tea was a truly special occasion, filled with warmth and celebration. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day so memorable.
