😤 Someone is already over it — and he’s not even born yet! 😂💙

At 37 weeks, this little guy gave us ALL the attitude during his keepsake ultrasound. stiff lip, frowny face, and lots of yawns trying to drop hints that he had no interest for the camera. Classic third-trimester mood! 😅

But even cranky babies are adorable when they’re this close to meeting the world. Seeing him squished, chunky, and full of personality made for the sweetest memories.

Motherhood has been absolutely everything I could possibly want and more, and Lorenzo is the absolute light of my life.

I adored being pregnant and still miss the feeling of my son moving in my tummy. We were lucky enough to have scans reguarly with Emma, which I feel helped build our bond before he was here. Pregnancy was a dream until my 32 week checkup. I went in thinking I had food poisoning, but it turned out to be pre-eclampsia and I was immediately admitted. They couldn’t get my blood pressure under control, and then my liver started failing, causing excruciating pain. Through all of this, my baby remained strong and happy. After 10 days, things started looking better for me, but my baby’s heartrate was dropping and I was told that I needed an emergency c-section and would be meeting my son at 33+5 weeks. I was told we would likely not get to see him immediately after birth, my partner probably wouldn’t be able to cut the umbilical cord and it was unlikely we would get skin to skin, but our little man was a fighter and we got all 3. He faced many premie baby challenges and was in the neonatal unit for 21 days. His tiny tummy could barely handle breastmilk, let alone formula so establishing my supply was crucial. Thankfully it came in quickly and I was making so much, I was suggested to look into donation. His interest in breastfeeding ended after 4 months, but I was determined to make sure he was still getting breastmilk to help his tiny premature body grow. Even now at 8 months, I am still pumping around the clock to continue our breastfeeding journey as long as possible, even if it doesn’t look the way I imagined it.
