This week I presented for The Gold Coast Academy of Sport at A.B. Patterson College on Accountability and Mental Resilience. I don’t think there is part of my job that I enjoy more. Young athletes willing to do whatever they need to do to be top of their game are simply the best clients. Working with teens that haven’t considered the effect of mental strength training, and seeing that light come on when they ‘get it’ There is nothing better than that. ✨

The three main areas I work on to improve athletic performance are confidence, limiting beliefs and fears. These are to a large degree also interchangeable but also relevant when working with entrepreneurs in business. Fear of failure and lack of belief impact the person in business just as much as the young athlete, hypnosis is such a powerful tool to help overcome these blocks and so much more ✨

High Performing Teen Athletes

Hello…. It’s been a while. I have had a wonderful work break and now I’m back and feeling excited to be doing what I love best.

This year I’m continuing to follow my passion of working with teens in sport. Helping them move past their mental blocks, build confidence, create strategies for success and perform at their absolute best.

I can honestly say that I have never worked with a teen in sport who hasn’t seen amazing benefits from working on their mental game. However, I still get blown away by just how much of a difference working on your mental game actually has.

So if you have a teen who struggles to take their practice performance into game day, an injury that’s knocked their confidence, an important trial coming up or anything related to mental performance. I can definitely help.

It’s been a while since I worked with weight loss and it’s been so fun having a new client who wants to release some weight, create better eating patterns and focus on her health.

Doing this work always brings my awareness to my own choices, particularly after my recent three week holiday! Just a reminder …. If you are feeling deprived in any way with your eating habits that is not a course that will go the distance.

The key is to feel satisfied eating less which actually is not as difficult as it might sound since we are all (most of us) guilty of overeating.

Luckily we are not relying on willpower or denial just the power of leveraging your subconscious mind to reach your goals ✨

I lived in cooler climates for many years and did not look forward to the short dark days. I have friends who feel the same way about Summer in Australia. I read last night due to El Niño we are expecting higher than average summer temperatures. Does that make you excited thinking of long hot Summer days or are you dreading the humid weather?

Hey Everyone, my name is Faye and I work with teens (and some adults) to help them improve sports performance through mental training. I’ve been working in this area for the past 7 years and I currently have capacity for new clients. I have worked with most sports including swimming, cricket, AFL, rugby, tennis and golf but really the challenges are the same whatever the sport.

Some areas I have worked in include returning to play after injury, moving past negative performances, overcoming the critical voice (self and others) moving past fears and improving confidence.

Most recently I worked with a teenage rugby player whose confidence had been knocked through injury . After our first session his coach commented it was his best game of the season. It is so exciting to see how developing a mental game really does impact performance in the most amazing ways.
