Today was special. Emmanuel and I stepped onto the mats at Nationals, not just to compete, but to represent our gym, our team, and where we come from.

I made it to the finals and came up short, and Emmanuel battled hard all the way to the semi-finals. The medals are nice, but they don’t tell the full story — the hours of sweat, the sacrifices, the discipline, and the growth that got us here.

Standing side by side with my brother, sharing this journey, and putting Toowoomba on the national stage means more than anything. This is just the beginning. We’ll be back sharper, stronger, and hungrier.

Proud of the battles fought today, proud of Emmanuel, and proud of the team we represent.

What a night on the mats!

Massive thanks to Joe Perry, Brian, and their team for joining us last night at ACE for an incredible evening of Jiu-Jitsu. The energy, respect, and high-level training shared between everyone made it one of those nights you remember why we love this sport.

It’s always special when teams come together to grow, sharpen skills, and build community. Iron sharpens iron — and last night was a perfect example of that.

Appreciate everyone who showed up, brought good vibes, and put in the work. The road to Nationals is heating up 🔥

I walked into the gym today and was met with this beautiful surprise from the incredible ladies here at Ace — flowers, cake, and a note that genuinely touched my heart.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about the training or the competition — it’s the people, the support, the bond we build on and off the mats. Thank you for making me feel so appreciated and seen.

From where we first started to now… what a journey it’s been.

Looking at these photos, it’s hard not to get emotional. What began as a small group with a simple dream has grown into a family full of energy, discipline, and heart. These kids show up with smiles, dedication, and a love for the sport that’s beyond inspiring.

We’ve seen shy kids become confident leaders. We’ve seen setbacks turned into comebacks. We’ve seen bonds formed on the mats that go beyond jiu-jitsu.

It’s more than just teaching techniques — it’s watching them grow in character, courage, and connection. Every high five, every stripe earned, every moment of support they give each other reminds us why we do this.
