Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd

Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd We offer a broad range of services focused on strengthening communities and empowering people. For Our Values: Integrity. Dignity. Openness. Honesty.

Lifeline Toowoomba, as it was originally known, was formed by a group of ministers in 1975. It was developed to establish a 24 hour telephone counselling service for the people of Toowoomba. Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Queensland Ltd (LDDSWQL) is now a company limited by guarantee, governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. A large regional NGO (non government organisation), with 160 plus paid staff, over 400 dedicated volunteers, an annual turnover exceeding $12M per annum and covering an extensive area with a population of approximately 255,000 people, LDDSWQL is committed to sustainable growth that works within the parameters of its Vision, Mission and Values. We partner with the wider community, working from a strengths based approach. That is, working with people in order to empower them to make the best possible decisions in their own life, and for their own community. A values based organisation, it remains committed to ensuring people always remain its focus. LDDSWQL relies on financial support from local communities, corporate sponsors and the Queensland State and Federal Governments. You can help support the services LDDSWQL provides by making donations through our clothing bins, shopping with our wide network of retail shops, making a cash donation or through in-kind support such as through volunteering. Accountability. Respect

Our Operating Principles

Transparency:
LDDSWQL work with people in ways that are open, clear and honest, providing comprehensive information about the roles and responsibilities of the organisation. Collaboration:
LDDSWQL works together with others towards shared goals, achieved through consultation and collaboration with individuals, families and communities. Support:
Staff and Volunteers within the organization take time to listen, care and support. Lifeline Darling Downs acknowledges the uniqueness and diversity of people within the community and works to respond appropriately, thoughtfully and flexibly to needs. Resources:
Staff and volunteers are considered to be the most valuable resource within the organisation. LDDSWQL ensures that training, development and support is maintained throughout each person’s service. Our Motto

When you donate to Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD, you’re helping fund vital crisis support services across our region.

But did you know that unusable donations cost thousands of dollars in waste disposal each year?

Items that are broken, stained, incomplete or unsellable can’t go on our shelves and instead require paid removal.

By donating responsibly, you help us:
✔ Reduce landfill waste
✔ Lower disposal costs
✔ Maximise funds raised for crisis support
✔ Keep our op shops welcoming and sustainable

Your thoughtful donations make a real difference.
Thank you for supporting Lifeline and our local community.
