Part 3 – How We Can Help at Toronto Health

If you suspect you have pelvic floor dysfunction, we can support you with:

✅ Comprehensive pelvic floor assessment
(may include vaginal exam, real-time ultrasound imaging with our in-house machine, bladder analysis & questionnaires)

✅ Tailored exercise & strength training advice

✅ Pelvic floor muscle training (specific & supervised for best outcomes)

✅ Lifestyle support for constipation, diabetes & other risk factors

🤕 Cervicogenic Headaches & Migraines 🤕

Did you know that many headaches and migraines actually start in the neck and upper spine? 👀

Sustained postures, stiffness, and muscle tension can all play a role, leading to persistent, often severe head pain. While medication may bring short-term relief, addressing the root cause is key for long-term results.

That’s where physiotherapy comes in 👇

How Physio Can Help:
✔️ Postural advice to reduce strain on the neck & spine
✔️ Manual therapy to release tension & improve mobility
✔️ Targeted exercises to build strength & stability
✔️ Education & lifestyle tips to prevent flare-ups

At Toronto Health, our physiotherapists specialise in personalised treatment plans designed to reduce pain, restore movement, and help you get back to living headache-free.

📩 If you’re struggling with headaches or migraines, reach out to book a consultation with our team today.

🎯 Spotlight on Tendinopathy 🎯

Tendinopathies are more common than you might think. It can affect athletes, active individuals, or anyone who places repetitive stress on their tendons. The most common areas? Your ankle, knee, elbow, and shoulder.

So what is it?
Tendinopathy involves irritation or degeneration of a tendon, often from overuse or repetitive strain. Left untreated, it can really hold you back from doing the things you love.

Here’s how physiotherapy at Toronto Health can help 👇

✅ Accurate Diagnosis - We’ll assess your condition and pinpoint the severity.
✅ Tailored Treatment - Evidence-based care personalised to your needs.
✅ Exercise Prescription - Targeted exercises to rebuild strength and resilience.
✅ Education & Prevention - Tools and strategies to reduce recurrence.

💪 With the right plan, tendinopathy is treatable, and recovery is possible.

📩 If you’re dealing with tendon pain or stiffness, our physiotherapists are here to guide you back to pain-free movement. Book a consult today!

⚡ Meet Sam Larkings - Accredited Exercise Physiologist ⚡

Sam is passionate about using exercise as medicine, whether that’s helping someone rebuild confidence in daily life, guiding rehab after injury, or pushing an athlete to peak performance. With a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation), he’s all about improving longevity, health, and wellness through sustainable movement.

What Sam loves most? 👉 Seeing clients hit their goals, unlocking their full potential, and knowing he’s making a lasting impact on their quality of life.

He works with a wide range of people from strength & conditioning clients to those in stroke and neurological rehabilitation (and everything in between).

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Sam with his family or coaching youth and JDL football/soccer ⚽.

💡 Fun fact: Sam still doesn’t know what he wants to do when he “grows up.” (We think he’s doing pretty well already 😉).
