SATURDAY 13TH JUNE - INVERSION EXCURSION WORKSHOP

Inversions are poses where we turn ourselves upside down - where our heart is higher than our head. Therefore, down dog is an inversion, so is legs-up-the-wall (viparita karani) and so is headstand. Never think that if you can't do headstand that you're not a yogi...as we always say, yoga is for everyone and every-body and there's always a variation available to suit you.

But, if you are ready to try inversions or want to refine your technique, join Ginny for a 3 hour adventure into inversions such as headstand, handstand, shoulderstand and perhaps a few fun arm balances.

Inversions are a great way to build courage, a sense of inner (and outer) power and are certainly fun.

All levels are welcome to this course (as long as you have some yoga experience) as every inversion has alternatives and modifications to help us build towards the main pose and gain similar benefits.

Turn Saturday afternoon into a mini yoga retreat! Start with the divine mix of yoga and live music. Let the music soothe the mind and emotions, let the yoga open the body and heart, and let your soul fly free. Join Ginny and Richard Turner for an enriching and uplifting class.

Then stay for kirtan at 5pm when Hanuman Das will join us and we all connect our huge hearts together in call and response chanting.
