If you have a partner, parent or family member living with Parkinson’s, you’ll know that some days it can be more difficult to get out and attend appointments or sessions.

To make things easier, we now offer one-on-one home visit sessions, providing a flexible and supportive option in a familiar environment.

Sessions focus on maintaining movement, building confidence and creating routine, while being adapted to how each person is feeling on the day.

We also offer a $30 initial session to help determine the most suitable starting point.

Today is World Parkinson’s Day — a day to raise awareness and recognise those living with Parkinson’s.

At Elevate Esteem Training, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with people living with Parkinson’s and seeing firsthand the impact that movement, routine and a supportive environment can have.

Every individual’s journey is different, but building confidence, maintaining movement and staying connected can make a meaningful difference over time.

Spotlight - Tyson - Work Experience Program

We’re really proud of the role Tyson is playing in the gym each week as part of our work experience program.

On Wednesdays, Tyson comes in early to help with session setup, cleaning gloves and getting everything ready before the teen class begins.

He then steps into the session not just as a participant, but also as a mentor to some of the younger members.

Seeing that transition — from helping behind the scenes to supporting others on the floor — is what these programs are all about.

Teen Anxiety Session - Wednesday 4pm - $15

Not every teenager feels comfortable in a traditional sporting environment.

We work with teens who may be experiencing anxiety, low confidence, or who struggle to engage in typical team sports.

Sessions focus on building confidence through movement in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

Over time, we often see improvements not just in fitness, but in confidence, social interaction and willingness to step outside their comfort zone.

One of the great things about group boxing fitness is the energy that comes from training together.

Everyone arrives with different goals and fitness levels, but the shared effort, encouragement and support in the room makes a big difference.

People often find that training in a group helps them push a little further, stay consistent and enjoy the process more.

It’s not about being the best in the room — it’s about showing up, working hard and supporting each other along the way.

That community feeling is what makes the sessions special.

Great energy in the gym this week with the Avoca FC first and reserve grade sides coming down to our Long Jetty gym for a boxing fitness session.

It was a fantastic session with the players working through a mix of conditioning, movement and boxing-based fitness drills.

Always great to see local clubs putting in the work and supporting each other in their preparation.

We’re incredibly proud to share that last night Elevate Esteem Training won the 2026 Lake Mac Award for Contribution to Diversity and Inclusion at the annual awards night held at Belmont 16 ft club.

This recognition reflects the diverse community we work alongside every week — supporting people living with Parkinson’s, individuals with special needs, seniors, and teens and adults experiencing anxiety through structured, confidence-focused fitness programs. Creating environments where people feel safe, supported and capable of progress is at the heart of everything we do.

Every person who walks through the door brings their own challenges, strengths and goals, and it’s a privilege to support that journey.

We’ve put together a short information pack explaining how our Parkinson’s-inclusive fitness program works — focusing on trust, confidence, and supportive movement.

Our approach is built around creating an environment people feel comfortable returning to, recognising individual strengths, and gently building confidence over time.
