He is originally from the United States and has been in Australia for over 10 years practicing medicine. Before moving to Torquay with his family he was practicing rural and remote medicine in the Northern Territory.

Prior to that he worked in critical care and surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne.

His interests outside of medicine include hanging out with his family and dog, travel, camping, surfing and is an avid sports enthusiast.
