Let’s come together to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day!🌟

It’s the perfect opportunity to spread some love and positivity, and what better way to do that than by checking in on someone you care about? A simple message or a quick phone call can mean the world to someone who may be feeling a little lonely. 🤗

At Sequence Osteopathy, we believe that kindness is a powerful tool that can brighten anyone's day. You don’t have to plan grand gestures; it can be as simple as sending a text to remind a loved one that they’re not alone. Maybe even share a smile with a stranger! 💖

Rachel, our incredible Senior Osteopath at Sequence Osteopathy has had a recent change in hours. You can now find her in clinic Tuesdays and Wednesdays!

As a structural Osteopath, Rachel has a special talent for treating a wide range of conditions, with a particular fondness for upper body issues, head pain, and women's health. Her journey in osteopathy started early, inspired by her family of osteopaths.

Rachel's thirst for knowledge keeps her evolving in her practice. With aspirations to dive deeper into osteopathic treatment for facial issues, TMJ, and breathing mechanics, she is committed to lifelong learning. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her enjoying the surf, tending to her garden, or adventuring with her kids and friends. 🌼

Are you a new patient? To ensure you have the best experience possible, let’s walk you through what to expect during your first visit.

First things first, we recommend arriving a little early. We know parking can be a bit of a challenge, so giving yourself some extra time to find a spot is a great idea! Once you’re in, our lovely receptionists will greet you with a warm smile, making you feel right at home! Then you will fill out our new patient forms. This information is essential as it helps us understand your health history and any specific concerns you might have. 😊

After you’ve completed the paperwork, you’ll be shown to a comfortable treatment room. Your osteopath will take the time to chat with you about your health goals and any issues you’re experiencing. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have about osteopathy and how it can help you. Remember, we’re here to support you on your wellness journey every step of the way! 🌿

Dry needling involves the insertion of thin needles into specific trigger points within muscles, which can help alleviate pain and improve function. At Sequence Osteopathy, we incorporate dry needling alongside manual therapy to provide our patients with a comprehensive approach to pain management and rehabilitation.

The process begins with a thorough assessment, where our osteopaths identify the areas of tension and discomfort. By targeting these trigger points, dry needling can help release muscle tightness, improve blood flow, and promote healing. This technique is particularly beneficial for athletes and individuals who experience chronic pain or discomfort due to muscle imbalances.

The combination of dry needling and manual therapy allows us to address both the symptoms and the underlying causes of pain, leading to more effective and long-lasting results.

As the excitement of the Australian Open fills the air, many of us may feel inspired to pick up a racket and hit the courts. Whether it's tennis or the rapidly growing sport of pickleball, these activities can be exhilarating, but they can also lead to injuries like tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis. This condition often arises from repetitive motions that put strain on the elbow, such as swinging a racket or performing any repetitive overhead tasks.

Tennis elbow manifests as pain on the outer part of the elbow, which can radiate down the forearm. It’s not just athletes who are prone to this condition; anyone engaging in repetitive activities—like typing, gardening, or even lifting objects—can experience discomfort. Understanding the causes is the first step in prevention and treatment!

At Sequence Osteopathy, our skilled osteopaths focus on identifying the root cause of your elbow pain. We utilize hands-on techniques to relieve tension in the surrounding muscles and improve joint mobility. Our holistic approach also emphasizes the importance of rehabilitation exercises that strengthen and support the elbow, helping you return to the activities you love without discomfort.

If you're experiencing pain in your elbow or simply want to ensure your body is ready for a summer of fun on the courts, we’re here to help!
