Torquay Chinese Medicine is looking for a passionate Chinese Medicine Practitioner to join our team. Our clinic is renowned in the Surf Coast community (~ 40,000 residents) and has been operating here for over 18 years.

The ideal practitioner will have the following:
- Degree qualifications in both Acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine
- A patient-centred approach to treatment, with a focus on achieving meaningful clinical outcomes
- An exceptional ability to hold space for others and be attuned to your patients’ needs
- A demonstrated ability to build strong rapport with patients and cultivate lasting therapeutic relationships, contributing to high patient retention

It’s also an advantage if you have the following:
- Special interest and/or experience in treating women’s health conditions
- Training in Cosmetic Acupuncture and / or Facial Gua Sha

What we offer:

- An opportunity to work alongside 4 highly experienced Chinese Medicine Practitioners who value collaboration, shared learning, and open discussion of clinical cases
- The clinic has three beautifully appointed Chinese Medicine dedicated treatment rooms, all with an abundance of natural light and wooden floorboards
- Access and ability to prescribe from a Chinese herbal medicine dispensary with an extensive range of single/formula granules, and pill/capsules.
- Admin, linen, tools & equipment, herbal medicine dispensary management, cleaning etc…are all taken care of, so that you can focus on treating patients
- An extensive client base with loyal clients who often refer their friends and family from the community
- We have the ability to demonstrate a current high rate of new & returning patient bookings per week
- Our clinic has high/first place google search rankings for multiple keywords
- Clinic has main road street frontage and high visibility

Sub-contractor by agreement, or salary range AUD60,000 – AUD85,000 full-time.

From our clinic family to yours, wishing you a very Happy Lunar New Year!! 🧧🏮✨

Over the weekend we welcomed in the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse by sharing a banquet together in the afternoon sun. We were extremely lucky to even have a crackle of Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos come bask in the sunset glow with us…A bird not often seen, we felt very lucky to have witnessed that moment together as a group, and be graced with their presence!

On that note and for all of our patients, family, and friends, may the year ahead be filled with vibrant health, peace, and good fortune. May your days ahead be balanced, your Qi flow smoothly, and your home be blessed with happiness and abundance!

Our little clinic Gingko tree, with its new green Spring foliage, reminding us of life’s impermanence.

It’s been a wonderful couple of weeks welcoming our new Acupuncturist Shae, who’s already started treating patients at the clinic.

Having recently made the big move from Alice Springs, he’s enjoying exploring & settling into life down here on the beautiful Surf Coast.

While serving communities in remote and regional areas, he’s developed the ability to care for patients of all ages and stages of life. Shae is described as a dedicated, warm, and compassionate practitioner, who is deeply committed to helping people achieve better health and balance through holistic, individualised & non-judgemental care, utilising the highly effective tools that Chinese Medicine has to offer.

As an AHPRA registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist who’s been practising for more than 18 yrs, he has extensive clinical experience and frequently works with patients seeking support for:
