Our little clinic Gingko tree, with its new green Spring foliage, reminding us of life’s impermanence.

Constant change, such as the changing seasons and the dormancy and growth that they bring, show us all things are temporary. Nature encourages us to live in the present & develop resilience to adapt to life’s inevitable changes.

Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture works with nature’s energy & naturally occurring cycles. Not controlling energy, but rather harnessing it and encouraging it to flow and vitalise certain areas of your body that might be lacking. Excited to announce we will now be open on SATURDAYS!

Dr Shae O’Dowd will be offering Saturday appointments from Saturday 4th October, and is happy to be able to increase access to care & treatment for those who work full time during the week, are caring for children, or have various other reasons that mean attending an appointment during the week is often not possible.

It’s been a wonderful couple of weeks welcoming our new Acupuncturist Shae, who’s already started treating patients at the clinic.

Having recently made the big move from Alice Springs, he’s enjoying exploring & settling into life down here on the beautiful Surf Coast.

While serving communities in remote and regional areas, he’s developed the ability to care for patients of all ages and stages of life. Shae is described as a dedicated, warm, and compassionate practitioner, who is deeply committed to helping people achieve better health and balance through holistic, individualised & non-judgemental care, utilising the highly effective tools that Chinese Medicine has to offer.

As an AHPRA registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist who’s been practising for more than 18 yrs, he has extensive clinical experience and frequently works with patients seeking support for:

We are so excited & happy to announce a new Acupuncturist is joining our team!

Shae is an AHPRA registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner with over 18 years experience, including an internship at Chengdu Hospital of TCM, in China.

He is passionate about Chinese Medicine and contributing to the health and emotional wellbeing of communities. Having run his own clinic in Alice Springs for almost 15 years, he has also worked as a locum doctor at clinics in the Grampians and the Perth Hills, volunteered at village hospitals in India, and established free community acupuncture clinics in Kinglake for bushfire victims, post Black Saturday.

While serving communities in remote and regional areas, he has developed the ability to care for patients of all ages and stages of life.

Shae has extensive experience in treating everything from musculoskeletal pain to mental health (stress/anxiety/PTSD), sleep issues, restoring function after injury, metabolic issues / low energy, and a wide range of other health conditions.

Shae is described as a dedicated, warm, and compassionate practitioner. He is deeply committed to helping people achieve better health and balance through holistic, individualised & non-judgemental care, utilising the effective tools that Chinese Medicine, with it’s thousands of years’ history, has to offer.
