Our Colposcopy Clinic is provided by specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Lucinda Pallis, every Wednesday morning at Cranbrook Medical.

What is a Colposcopy?
A colposcopy is an examination with a microscope to check the health of the cervix, v***a or va**na after an abnormal Cervical Screening Test (CST), abnormal bleeding or unusual appearance of the cervix or v***a.

The aim is very early detection of conditions which might progress to cervical cancer. Very few people who attend for colposcopy have any serious medical condition and only a small proportion need any further treatment.

Who is the Colposcopy Clinic for?
Solely those who need colposcopy. This is not a general gynaecology service. If treatment is required this can be arranged as a public or private patient. Patients will be asked to see their referring doctor for ongoing care and follow up.

To access the Colposcopy Clinic, you will require a referral from your GP. Referrals should be emailed to referrals@cranbrookmedical.com.au

Dementia affects more than just the person diagnosed, it touches families, friends, carers and entire communities. Sadly, many people living with dementia share that friends and loved ones drift away after a diagnosis, often unsure how to connect.

This loss of connection can lead to isolation, loneliness and greater stigma. With over 433,000 Australians living with dementia and 1.7 million people involved in their care, chances are you know someone impacted.*

This year's Dementia Action Week theme is 'Nobody can do it alone', so let’s change that. We encourage everyone to reach out, reconnect, and show support because living with dementia is not something anyone should face alone. 💙

A conversation could save a life. Reach out to someone today and ask R U OK?

If someone you know or care about isn't their usual self, start a conversation. They may be quieter than usual, moody, withdrawn, agitated or just not themselves. Start a conversation with them and let them know you're concerned. You can point out the changes you've noticed, be tactful, listen and let them know you're there for them.
