Introducing our newest GP Dr Jamie Weir 🩺

Dr Jamie grew up on the east coast of Scotland outside Edinburgh, completed her medical studies in Aberdeen and had been working as a GP in Glasgow until her move to sunny Townsville in 2021 ☀️

Dr Jamie takes a holistic approach to medicine and enjoys the challenge of treating a variety of conditions found in General Practice. She has a special interest in men’s health, sexual health and chronic disease management 🏥

She wants to encourage men to be proactive about their health by providing high quality comprehensive care. She prides herself on being approachable and non-judgemental but most of all, professional 🥼

Dr Jamie also has an interest in minor surgery and has completed the Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine with plans to up-skill further. She is able to offer skin checks and can provide minor surgery services including biopsy and excision 👏

On the weekends Dr Jamie loves to explore the outdoors, hike, travel and keep active. Although her spare time is now mostly taken up with being a first time mum to her lovely baby boy 😇
