Ever wondered why it’s so important for your aesthetic practitioner to have a deep understanding of facial anatomy? Let’s talk about it!  When it comes to a reducing wrinkle treatment, it’s not just about erasing lines. It’s about understanding the intricate network of muscles beneath your skin. Each muscle in your face has a specific role, and they all work together to help you express emotions, speak, eat, and more.   Wrinkle reducing treatments requires a delicate balance. Only treating one area such are your frontals muscle (forehead) and not including your procerus and corrugator muscles (frown) can lead to an overcompensating muscle & a large ‘bulge’ occurring above your brows (in your frown muscles). It can also lead to your brows dropping lower and sitting flatter across your face. That’s why a thorough understanding of how these muscles interact together is crucial.   Your aesthetic practitioner needs to know exactly where to place each injection to achieve a natural, balanced result. They need to consider how relaxing one muscle might affect the others around it. It’s a bit like a domino effect! It is possible to achieve results that don’t alter the natural function and balance of your face.

Just little ol’ me running a business that I’m not allowed to speak about what I do publicly or advertise my work or treatments anymore… (well, from Sept 2nd)

Makes it feel very forbidden and shameful. This is 2025… where we are excepting of others, equality, freedom of speech; people are encouraged to speak about what once was taboo & is now totally acceptable… but yet our industry seems to be going backwards? Being forced into silence. Being forced into not being able to advertise, being controlled in every aspect of my business possible. What a crazy time.

I’m a small local business! A PROUD Nurse-led aesthetic clinic! Why does this matter?

1. Because that means I go above and beyond for each and every person because I genuinely care and are grateful for your support. I know without it, my business doesn’t exist.

2. More importantly though, your support of my business goes beyond the business itself. It supports my family, my dreams and allows me to be present and spend time with my family and I am extremely grateful for this aspect.

3. I don’t have KPI’s to meet. So you’ll never have to worry about me trying to “up-sell” or push any products or services. Not only is that unethical, it’s not necessary in my authentic business model.

4. Following from the last point; I will say “no” to treatments. Because I genuinely do have your best interests at heart. And I have so much pride in my work that I want you to look and feel your absolute best and sometimes that means having hard conversations about not necessarily needing treatments.

5. Everything I do & say comes from the heart. I’m always authentic & extremely honest. There’s no putting on a show to impress anyone, as I don’t need to. I’m confident in my ability, my education and my constant up-skilling/training/ability to ensure you receive the best service I can possibly provide.

6. I’m a mum, a down to earth woman and wife. I’ve experienced hardships like anyone else. And I’ve worked to overcome them to be the best version of myself. This in itself allows me to be able to relate to each and every patient not only on a professional level, but personally I hear and see you. I care and I listen. This matters!

7. An appointment at Rejuvenate is more than experiencing a “treatment” is a safe confidential space to be vulnerable and speak your truth. This I value so much, as great outcomes come from truth & trust.
