Outside of work, Keita enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and taking time to relax and recharge. Keita values balance and bringing positive energy into both her personal and professional life. What Keita loves most about AYHC is the supportive team environment and the genuine care shown towards both participants and staff. Summer has a true passion for caring for people and supporting them to live their best lives. She is currently studying to become a Registered Nurse, continuing to grow her skills and knowledge so she can make an even bigger difference in the lives of others.

Summer says she loves working at AYHC because “it’s family orientated — we are a team. We support each other, and our care is client-based, not task-based.” That strong team culture and focus on person-centred care is exactly what AYHC is all about.

Outside of work and study, Summer enjoys riding her motorcycle 🏍️, hitting the gym 💪, spending time with family and friends, and being around animals — she’s a big animal lover! 🐾

Karen is a clinical nurse and has been a nurse for over 25 years. Karen started this business 3 years ago to help the community in all sectors by ensuring holistic person/family centred care is provided.

Karen is a mother to 3 , Stepmum to 3 and has the 3 most amazing grandchildren 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒. She is a fun loving person.

Her hobbies are cars, my animals and helping people.

Karen’s staff are all amazing. They are highly skilled professionals that provide exceptional care in a family centred holistic manner.

Miela comes from a strong family background of nurses, midwives and support workers, so caring for others truly runs in her blood. Supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives isn’t just a job for her — it’s something she’s grown up around and feels genuinely passionate about.

Outside of work, you’ll find Miela at the gym 💪, enjoying a little retail therapy 🛍️, or spending quality time with her family and friends — the people who mean the most to her.

Miela says she loves AYHC because “it’s one big family. We’re all there to support each other, and it’s client-based, not task-based.” And that’s exactly what we stand for — putting people first, always.

✨MEET THE TEAM - Alyssa Entwistle ✨

Say hello to Alyssa Entwistle, our Supervisor and Educator here at AYHC 💜🩵

Alyssa comes from a background of her family running their own businesses and working for her family since she was 10, she was also a sports captain both in primary school and high school so she’s no stranger to leadership roles. She was AYHC’s first ever support worker and has loved working for AYHC because they aren’t your regular NDIS company, they really are bringing the caring back into care with participants, their families and their staff. AYHC goes above and beyond for their community. Because of AYHC’s sponsorship for Suncity Wheelers♿️, Alyssa has gone and attended tournaments and training sessions to show the companies support in the wheelchair basketball community. Outside of work you’ll find Alyssa being a homebody with her partner Lachlan, cat Tom and dog Maple 👫🐈‍⬛🐕, at the gym 💪, or playing basketball 🏀. Alyssa is keen on assisting continuing the development of AYHC, making sure more participants out there are getting the support they deserve 🩺

We currently have immediate availability in an all female, modern, “smart living” SDA (SIL) house in Townsville.
We have 2 large rooms available.
Both include large Ensuite
Ceiling Hoist
Wheelchair Accessible
Our staff our caring, polite, experienced and always put our clients needs first.

We provide community access with a brand new 5 seater plus wheelchair plus hoist. We also have a car for appointments, shopping, etc.
