As you will be aware, COVID-19 is a pandemic. We can all try to slow the spread of this virus. Simple measures include:
- good hand hygiene and cough/sneeze etiquette
- self-isolation and staying at home if unwell, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19
- social distancing (keeping a distance of at least 1.5m between you and other people where possible).

Vulnerable people include the elderly (>70 years old); people with compromised immune systems; and people with chronic health conditions.

Townsville Neurosciences has put several measures in place to follow the recommendations and we require your assistance and consideration:
- we have reduced the number of seats in the waiting room to allow social distancing. If you have an upcoming appointment, please be mindful of this and bring limited family members.
- we are staggering appointment times to reduce the number of people in the waiting room at one time.
- we are offering phone or skype consultations (instead of face-to-face appointments) for vulnerable people.

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and fatigue, shortness of breath), PLEASE STAY AT HOME and phone our rooms on 07 4779 9266 to reschedule your appointment.
