Nutrition trends. They’re always popping up, and these 9 have been super popular.
The thing about nutrition trends is that they’re often started by people who know nothing about nutrition itself…aka people you shouldn’t listen to.
Nutrition trends can be dangerous to your body and mind, too. Their underlying messaging is, a lot of time, harmful.
Not snacking because of the Migrating Motor Complex. While there’s a grain of truth in this, some ‘wellness’ people are taking it far out of proportion. You can SNACK, people. Maybe just don’t eat constantly.
Wearing a CGM if you’re not diabetic. There’s really no reason to see your blood sugar rising and falling - that process is NORMAL. Why do you need to micromanage it? Why do we feel the need to micromanage our bodies SO DARN MUCH now?
Gut testing. Don’t bother with microbiome testing. The results are information we can’t use…right now. And the diet recommendations that come with them are bu****it.
Water fasting. Please don’t. There is no reason to fast for days on end. No.
Lumen. Again, the information of whether you’re burning carbs or fat isn’t useful for most people. Skip it.
Personalized supplements. Guess what? If you didn’t need a supplement before, you probably don’t need one if it’s personalized. Save your money, buy what you need at the drug store.
Hair testing. A bunch of woo woo bu****it. The results aren’t reliable.

This is just too good and too spot on not to share here. Every. Single. One. 🙌🏼

1️⃣ First and foremost. Always. If you are not in a calorie deficit, you are not going to lose weight. Period. Now, that doesn’t mean you need to be in a MASSIVE deficit, but your calorie intake MUST be less than your calorie output.
2️⃣ This is one that gets questioned quite a bit. My philosophy always has been and will continue to be that deprivation is not sustainable and maintainable. So it’s better to allow for a ‘flexible meal’ (within a macro plan) than to restrict, and eventually binge.
3️⃣ THIS is why we customize macro targets within for you, and you alone. They are personalized to you based on your age, gender, height, weight, and the fitness goal of your choosing! 👊🏼
4️⃣ Not a single one of us is perfect. Including myself. And thankfully we don’t need to be in order to reach our goals. 🙌🏼 It is absolutely possible to transform without being ‘perfect’. The most important thing? If you do get off track; confess, reassess, and recommit. Remember, you’re one meal or one workout away from being right back on track. 😉
5️⃣ In , we do show 5 meals for every day, of course this is not one size fits all…so that’s why we allow you to add any foods/meals you want. For example if you are intermittent fasting, you can leave meals 1-2 blank and load up on meals 3-4. Just find what works best for you and your lifestyle!
6️⃣ This might be the most important tip of all. We all want instant gratification and quick returns. That’s just not how transformation works. Our bodies move in slooooow motion. Yes, fast weight loss is possible but it’s not sustainable and usually results in yo-yoing and trouble down the road.
7️⃣ There is a reason that one of the most popular statements in the nutrition and fitness world is ‘Abs are made in the kitchen’. NUTRITION IS KEY. If you only able to focus on one thing at a time, start with your nutrition. It will account for the majority of your success and transformation! 💪🏼
