How many times a day does a negative thought pop into your head?
Probably more than you’d like—right?

It’s normal. Happens to me, too (a lot).

But here’s the thing—you don’t need to stop negative thoughts (which is impossible), but you CAN decide how you respond to them.

Here’s a simple exercise I share with my clients when their thoughts start holding them back:

Notice the thought. Don’t fight it—just acknowledge it.

Question it. Ask yourself:

“Is this thought actually true?”
“Would I say this to someone I care about?”
Most negative thoughts fall apart when you question them.
Redirect your focus. Choose a thought or action that supports you instead—like, “I’m doing the best I can, and every small step counts.”

This shift is powerful. I used to let negative thoughts spiral and drag me down—but now, I challenge them and choose to move forward. And trust me, it makes a huge difference.
