Meet the Team- Gemma 🩵

Role?
• Allergy & MMC Practice Nurse

What do you love most about being a practice nurse?
• I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to work both Allergy, alongside Dr Diamond Hira, and at Mundingburra Medical with all our fabulous and caring doctors. I get the best of both worlds as a nurse and for the past 4 years I have met some really incredible patients that I get to know on a personal level. Not everyone gets to say they love their job and I’m so grateful for mine. My colleagues are friends and put a smile on my face everyday! 😊

Favourite way to start the workday?
• A mocha (typically from Annees) and a quick catch up with everyone.

Fun fact about yourself?
• I love to design! I design websites and 3D models - I have 3x 3d printers that I use to run a small business.

Your favourite way to unwind after work?
• A peaceful car ride home with music 🎶

What is your role?
• Registered Nurse 👩🏼‍⚕️

What do you love most about being a practice nurse?
• The continuity of care! I have the pleasure of caring for people in different stages of life, and the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with patients.

Favourite way to start the workday?
• Coffee and my upbeat music mix on Spotify! 🎶 ☕️

Fun fact about yourself?
• my life has a soundtrack; I’ve always got a song in my head, and will frequently start singing during the work day!

We’re keeping a close eye on the weather so we can respond quickly if conditions change.

To help everyone stay safe, we encourage you to;
• Allow extra travel time if needed

• Never drive through floodwaters; appointments can be rescheduled, your safety shouldnt be!

• Keep updated with local weather alerts, and follow any directions from emergency services, Townsville City Council and the local disaster management pages.

If the weather affects our ability to operate safely, we’ll contact affected patients as early as possible 🌧️
