Parenting is a tough gig…

Everyday in my clinic I meet parents. Tired parents. Often simply just worn out. This parenting gig is pretty full-on.

Yes we know how much we love our children, but we are our own greatest critics.

Often asking ourselves: what are we doing that is wrong? Feeling guilty for oh about a hundred things.

Listen and looking at other parents and judging ourselves on what we see. Like... the muesli slice should have been home made not store bought, I should be doing more craft, what about speaking a second or third language, or the kids need more outside time and less electronics….

How beautiful…. A little person bought these in during the week. Grown by their own hands from seeds in their garden.

Perhaps 🤔 Mum and Dad had a bit to do with the growing cycle?

Are you a psychologist who does assessments? Are looking to pick up some extra hours/income in private practice?

We have a constant flow of referrals for assessment in the areas of adhd/asd, children, teens and adults. As there is an overlap in learning difficulties, assessment for learning/education/cognitive would also be required or an additional role.

We would like to be able to provide our families a better service.

Assessments can be done via TELEHEALTH or FACE TO FACE. We are flexible and open to 1 or 2 days a week, 2 days a fortnight or 3-4 days a month. I have lots of ideas!

If you would like to earn extra income please reach out and quote your flat rate per clinical assessment that you can provide this service for. As well as your availability.

I am happy to guide you through this process and answer/explain anything you are wondering.

Services can be delivered face to face in our rooms or via Telehealth.

You must be able to provide a high standard of care that our valued clients have come to expect from our practice.

Our recent Townsville Business Women’s Circle mentoring event led by Claudia Brassard, was an inspiring deep dive into the power of women sharing their stories.

A busy week last week and what an inspiring and educational one. I attended the first Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) conference in Brisbane.

It was an awesome to listen to the keynote presentation by Dr Tracy Westerman AM. Inspiring addresses from Marie and Michael Carr-Greg!

Wonderful to hear about the progress that AAPi has made for psychologists and the Australian’s in need of psychological support.

What a busy three days with much learning and wonderful to meet so many other Psychologists.

Couldn’t resist adding on a theatre show whilst there!
