🚧 Night roadworks at Townsville University Hospital 🚧

Planned road resurfacing works will take place on the Townsville University Hospital campus in early February.

Here’s what you need to know 👇

🕗 When:
• Works will take place across early February (4–18 February 2026)
• Final line marking will occur on 18–19 February
🚗 Traffic impacts:
• Traffic will be reduced to one lane at night on Angus Smith Drive, with traffic flowing in both directions
• Emergency vehicles will be prioritised at all times
• Pedestrian access will remain open
🏥 Hospital services:
• Helipad operations will continue as normal
• Access to hospital services and charities will be maintained
⚠️ Safety note:
• Temporary surface level changes will be in place until final asphalt is laid, with ramps and signage provided. Please drive carefully, follow all signage, and avoid speeding.
