I was incredibly lucky to travel to Melbourne to attend professional development on the topic of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). CAS is a motor speech disorder, where a child has difficulty planning and coordinating the movements required for speech.
Presented by Jennie Bjorem Practical Strategies and Resources: Your Toolkit for Childhood Apraxia of Speech, provided valuable insight into the characteristics of CAS as well as evidence based assessment and treatment options.
I was also a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues in the field.
