Please consider the following!
• Influenza-related hospitalisations are on the rise (see graph below)
• 90% of people hospitalised have not been vaccinated
• Flu vaccination is the most effective way to prevent serious illness and hospitalisation
• It’s not too late to get flu vaccinated!
Elective surgeries were put on hold last week at several Queensland hospitals due, in part, to an increase of flu and COVID-19 hospitalisations.

Please consider flu vaccination – especially our most vulnerable people.
Reminder: Flu vaccination is free for all Queenslanders aged 6 months and older until 30 September 2025.
