This year marked three years of Compassionate Connections Co, and it’s hard to put into words just how much this journey has meant. What started with a simple goal - to stand beside people and families who felt unheard or overwhelmed - has grown into a community built on trust, advocacy, and genuine care.

In 2025, we showed up. We listened. We advocated. From supporting families to navigate complex systems, to giving back over $2,000 to local charities, to creating safe spaces through Make It Happen Mondays where people finally felt understood - every moment mattered.

The greatest privilege of this work is the people: the participants, families, allied health professionals, and community organisations who walk alongside us and place their trust in what we do.

As we look ahead, our hearts are full and our vision is clear - to keep growing, to keep advocating, and to keep making things happen for those who need it most.

This year, Compassionate Connections has chosen to do things a little differently. Instead of our usual Christmas giveaway, we’ve decided to bring all of those funds together and donate them to an organisation that is very close to our hearts — Ronald McDonald House Charities in Townsville.

Their support means so much to families during some of the most challenging times of their lives. I’ll attach a photo showing the items they’re currently in need of, and they are still gratefully accepting donations for anyone who may wish to contribute. ❤️🩷 🎅🏼 🎄
