WHEELCHAIR WIN: Last month, I joined Townsville woman Julie Brice in advocating for important changes to ensure Australians who utilise wheelchairs aren't discriminated against by major airlines when it comes to air travel.

Julie & I have since met with Qantas, who’ve agreed to change their booking system & work with Julie on a longer-term engineering solution.

This is a major win, driven by regional Queensland. To everyone who offered support including the Townsville Bulletin, we thank you. I also thank Qantas for its willingness to listen & act. We are hoping to meet with Virgin Australia in coming weeks.

Last week, Move & Grow Physio and Compassionate Connections Co had the opportunity to meet with our local MP, Phillip Thompson, who also serves as the Shadow Assistant Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

It was a valuable conversation, and we’re hopeful that, together, we can contribute to meaningful change for our community. 🙏🏽
