AndFITT Healthy Lifestyle Coaching Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

http://www.andfitt.com.au/ and http://andfitt.blogspot.com.au If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, contact me for a free 1 hr health consultation from anywhere on the planet! My training and approach:
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. My philosophy is the proven age-old adage that ‘prevention is better than cure’ and ‘education not medication’ is a far superior and more sustainable approach. I believe this is vital as countless thousands of people suffer from chronic and preventable life-styles diseases, which detract from their quality of life. I look forward to being able to serve and support you to achieve your personal health and happiness goals. Learn more about my training and my unique approach to health coaching. Are you curious about how health coaching can help you? Let’s talk. Schedule an initial consultation with me today. My gratitude:
Please let me express my sincerest gratitude to the numerous people who have played a vital role in my journey towards being healthy and inspired me to become a health coach. They include:
Nicholas Smith, a wonderful Australian nutritionist, who in 2006 solved my chronic joint and back pain by advising me to increase my hydration;
Dr Janet McGaurn, an amazing and caring chiropractor, who taught me so much about gluten intolerance and diagnosed (among my many ailments) my rampant candidia overgrowth;
Joshua Rosenthall for having the passion and the vision to create IIN;
Dr Mark Hyman for his logical ‘upstream approach’ to illness and disease;
Dr Joseph Mercola for his inspirational information flow. Also to all the other wonderful contributors and fellow students (past & present) involved in the IIN program, thank you for your wonderful dedication and energy to our education. Your willingness to share and expand the knowledge about nutrition and wellness is truly amazing.

Ticking the box from 2004's goal Well the Last Leg last day has finally arrived and its with very mixed feelings I get on my trusty bike ('W***y') and 'Mav' (my trusty wheels & tyres) for the ride into Darwin. Feelings of quiet elation and inner satisfaction are coursing through my body but they are tinged with some degree of sadness knowing that it's my last day of a long held goal and dream. Leaving the ancient lands of Kakadu After a restful day in Jabiru it was a: fuel the body, top up the diesel tank (at $1.80/l) and crack out the trusty but dusty Wilier road bike for my penultimate day on my Last Leg adventure. The ancient lands of Kakadu are quite something and it’s an amazing World Heritage area……hard to believe humans have been wandering this land for 50-75000 years according to the latest research. Entering the ancient lands of Kakadu National Park. World Heritage National Park entrance to Kakadu from the south western corner. The past two days have turned out to be a stark contrast from our previous few days with the relative quietness now that we are travelling on the Kakadu Highway east towards Cooinda and onto Jabiru. The busy traffic noise has been replaced by bird calls and wind rustling through the savannah woodlands and bustling wetlands. [ 744 more words ]

Surviving the Stuart Highway Well the highway named after the intrepid Scot McDougall Stuart certainly had its moments for us both. Thankfully we remained accident-free but are relieved to be finally heading east towards Kakadu along the quieter Kakadu Highway. I'm a bit over bogans driving at 130 plus km/hr and road trains. For the first time we have travelled east for a long time. [ 222 more words ]

Successful road testing of the new toy (N+1) Today’s decision to try out the new Norco steel gravel bike proved to be a very good one (see above picture). The stable Norco Search XR with its wide knobbly tyres meant I could safely take evasive action by diving off the so-called ‘road shoulders’ and into the gravel (see photo below with the puny hazard sign) without crashing when the caravan convoys and road trains rolled by at speed and it got too hairy to share the road. My late morning smile and riding apparel...unlike my 7 AM grimace.... Very cool start to the day....not happy Jan.... After a fantastic rest day at the Mataranka thermal springs I hit the road early because I was very keen to get to Katherine.....it rapidly became apparent my early start was way too early and a big mistake. My fingers and toes were frozen within 10 minutes of riding...hard to believe it can be 5 degrees or less overnight and never mind the windchill effect on the bike at pre-sunrise. [ 442 more words ]

Part of the Pink Panther Pub Peleton (refuelling spot) What a difference a rest day, flat roads and a warm tailwind make to a cyclists’ spirits. As we constantly remind ourselves bad days are never permanent and good riding conditions are just another day away…that’s what the mantra is always apparently. Day 17 has been just that..flattish, fun and relatively fast. [ 903 more words ]

Newcastle Waters turn-off to Daly Waters Pub!! Susie with her mates while waiting for me to arrive in thriving town of Daly Waters. Another early start for another awesome day..well for the most part until the NE breeze appeared. Pedalling just before the sunrise in The Aussie Outback is very Zen-like as its cool, quiet and very peaceful..which unfortunately that 'peaceful easy feeling' gradually goes out the window as the sun rises, the wind stirs and the Grey Nomad Caravan Convoy gets 'on the road again'.. After a few long days along the Barkly and Stuart Highways, senior management called for an easier day, so Day 14 was a short roll from Banka Banka in the cooler parts of the day. Another few days 'off the grid' as we make it to the Stuart Highway and begin heading north. As all cyclists know we encounter great days (tailwinds, warm sunshine, minimal traffic and smooth roads), good days (some of all those previous elements) and tough days when you get headwinds, climbs, ‘dead roads’ due to the coarse aggregate surfacing material and lots of traffic. We've been 'off the grid' for a few days...so here's a quick 'stripped back' update. Sorry there will not be many pictures until we can get better internet access..the joys of being in the remote parts of western Queensland and eastern section of the Northern Territory. Uploading from our phones to the cloud servers and back down again takes more time and patience than we have both got after some long hot days. [ 435 more words ]
