Debbie is the newest member to the team, bringing with her 25 years of experience across administration and managing roles.
Most recently as a Rostering Officer within the aged care sector, working with Indigenous elders.
Debbie enjoys being a part of a supportive team while supporting and contributing to the delivery of quality care and services to the community.

Out of the office she loves cooking, music, and audiobooks. Her favourite leisure activities are riding her motorbike and her horse.

Rowan works with our organisational team as administration support. Rowan has always had a passion for working in our community with strong backgrounds in land conservation and land management.
His drive for assisting our community expanded to recently completing his qualifications in disability support, he has now commenced working within the NDIS industry.
Rowan has also experienced working in an aged care residential setting and now has commenced his career as a support worker and working within the business administration arena.
In his spare time Rowan enjoys weekend motorbike tracking, attending his favourite live music venues and when it's time to relax he enjoys delving into a good book.

Townsville residents are urged to stay informed and prepared as severe weather approaches.

The Townsville Local Disaster Management Group (TLDMG) has moved to Alert as the Bureau of Meteorology warns of increasing flood risk across North Queensland, including the Townsville region.

From Sunday a coastal trough will become slow-moving between Ayr and Cairns, bringing prolonged heavy rainfall. The exact location of the heaviest falls remains uncertain.

Catchments likely to be affected include Ross and Bohle Rivers, Black River, Bluewater Creek, Haughton River, and the Burdekin River system.

TLDMG Chair Nick Dametto said the group is closely monitoring conditions and urged residents to act now.

“We’ve moved to Alert so we can prepare the community should the weather worsen,” Cr Dametto said.

“There is no need to panic, but please review your emergency plan, have your emergency kit ready, and be prepared to leave if required.”

Cr Dametto reminded residents:
▪️ Include medications, infant supplies, and pet plans in your emergency kit
▪️ Do not drive through floodwaters – if it’s flooded, forget it
▪️ Stay informed via Council’s Disaster Dashboard, local radio, and official channels

To assist with preparations, sand and sandbags will be made available at four locations across Townsville:

▪️ Lou Litster Park – Railway Estate
▪️ Bruce Hwy & Mount Low Parkway – Mount Low
▪️ Bluewater Community Centre – Bluewater
▪️ Cungulla SES Depot – Cape Cleveland

Job brief
We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our centre and carry out cleaning duties.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2.30pm to 4.30pm, 6 hours a week
The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.
· Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, , restroom cleaning etc)
· Perform and document routine inspection and cleaning activities.
· Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
· Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
· Stock and maintain supply rooms.
· Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
· Follow all health and safety regulations.

Requirements
• Proven working experience as a cleaner.
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Job Types: Casual
• Afternoon shift
• Monday, Wednesday and Friday
• No weekends

Wage $32.31 to $35.15 per hour
