Arc Yoga’s Story
Arc Yoga was started in 2012 by Maria Allen following an opportunity to leave Townsville and live in Canberra for 12 months. Having practiced yoga for many years, Maria was inspired to become a teacher after seeing how her dad benefitted from yoga, and the potential for it to help people. The name ‘Arc’ is Sanskrit (classical Indian language) for ‘Shine’. This symbolises so much of what we love about the shining qualities of yoga. Arc Yoga is a cosy yoga studio with a big heart. Offering a class every day of the week! Easy Yoga, Beginner to General Yoga Classes, Meditation Classes and Groovy Kids Yoga!
We currently offer 10 studio classes each week taught by our 5 qualified yoga teachers and yoga therapists - Maria, Cassie, Lesley, Miranda and Jade.
At Arc Yoga we also offer 5 week beginners course’s for people brand new to yoga and GroovyKids™ Yoga for kids aged 4 to 10 years.
