The Physio Movement was built on the philosophy to move away from the traditional and dated Physiotherapy model, and establish a new aged health clinic. This modern treatment approach focuses on long-term management, rather than short-term treatments and prescriptive programming. Shane Brown, TPM Director, is head mentor for all TPM professionals who work collaboratively together. Our patients are able to access our full range of services, with each practitioner understanding that there is not a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Our clinics incorporate tomorrow's technology to improve your body today. Our on-site Performance Centre caters for all from weekend warriors, through to elite athletes. Within this space, we have state-of-the-art technology from Spain which we use for Biomechanical Assessments of Cycling position, Running technique, and lower limb angles during activity in the rehabilitation of injuries, such as ACL tears. We utilise modern apps for your phone/tablet device which help you remember your exercises, along with our Telehealth services so that you can access our healthcare movement from wherever you may be. Our clinical software allows for easy communication, reassessment and allows us to constantly readdress goals and progressions. At TPM we are very active in the local community. We pride ourselves in having a strong community presence and always willing to give a helping hand. We have collaborated with local groups including Townsville Road Runners, Townsville Tri Club, NQ Triathlon Academy, Centrals ASA Rugby League, and many more. 🏋️Youth Performance🏋️

TPM’s Youth Performance (YP) program is a dynamic, age-appropriate training
program designed to establish a strong athletic base during the formative years of a
young person (12-18 years of age). Our classes align with the Long-Term Athletic
Development (LTAD) framework. This framework emphasises progressive,
developmentally-appropriate training for building physical literacy, injury prevention,
self-efficacy, mental resilience, and lifelong positive relationships with physical
activity.

Our goal:
- Ensuring training is matched to a child’s stage of growth
- Injury Prevention by building stronger athletes.
- Promote physical literacy and participation in exercise
- Build Confidence in a warm and welcoming environment

This month at TPM we are focusing on Pain management and chronic pain treatment.

September is all about relieving pain and managing pain. Additionally, we will be showcasing our GLA:D class which is a pain management for our clients who live with Osteoarthritis. Here at TPM, we help many patients who struggle with chronic pain day-to-day.
On the 1st of September to the 5th of September we will be celebrating Women's Health Week! This years theme is "say yes to you". Keep an eye out this week for all the women's health content!
We will also be celebrating World Physio day on the 8th of September!

Our TPM story

Welcome to Townsville's first modern Movement in Health Care. TPMs opened its doors in 2015 with the mission to bring quality, modern healthcare to North Queensland. Our vision was to move away from the more traditional and dated Physiotherapy model and incorporate a modality of services allowing for optimal health results.

TPM has establish a new aged health clinic within Townsville City with the vision of allowing people to live longer- pain free! Our core services available at The Physio Movement include: Physiotherapy, Chiropractor, Dry needling, Running coaching, Biomechanical analysis, Orthotic prescription, Pilates, headache/spinal clinic, Fitness + Strength training and fitness, Womens health, manipulative therapy, and sporting performance. Our clinic incorporates tomorrow's technology to improve your body today. These include Bike Fitting and Gait analysis technology (deigned and created in Spain - We are the only Queensland provider!), state of the art gait scan technology for orthotic prescription, HD video analysis of movement behaviours, and apps for your phone/tablet device which help you remember your rehabilitation or programs. Our clinical software allows for easy communication, reassessment and allows us to constantly readdress goals and progressions. At TPM we are very active in the local community.
