✨ Win of the Week ✨

Jason’s win of the week is a very special one 💙

He’s been working with a lovely lady through the My Aged Care program who has a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

Through a combination of in-clinic exercise physiology sessions and hydrotherapy, he has started to see some incredible progress.

This client was previously relying on a four-wheel walker to get around — and now, after a couple of months of consistent work, she’s comfortably walking without it 🙌

Her confidence on her feet has grown, her strength has improved, and she’s getting on top of a lot of the pain that was holding her back.

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do 💪💙

Small wins add up to life-changing outcomes.

We’re excited to welcome Lucy, our new graduate Occupational Therapist, to the clinic 🤍

Born and raised in Rockhampton, Lucy spent time in the Army in Townsville before recently graduating as an OT from James Cook University 🎓

As the eldest of five, she knows a thing or two about responsibility and connection!

Lucy loves reading, hiking, and live music, and has a strong passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s everyday lives 🌿🎶

She recently completed a placement in Child and Youth Mental Health and is excited to begin her OT journey supporting our community.

🏆 Portia’s Win of the Week 🏆

This week, our speech pathologist Portia is celebrating a HUGE milestone with one of her clients 💬✨

After 12 months of consistent, hard work, the progress has been incredible. When he first came to us with speech sound concerns, his initial assessment showed 47% consonants correct.

Fast forward 7 months to reassessment… and he achieved 75% consonants correct 👏

A huge part of this success is the dedication beyond the clinic — this client regularly participates in home practice and completes their homework alongside siblings and parents 🙌

This is such a powerful reminder of what dedication, evidence-based therapy, and teamwork can achieve. We are so proud of this client and the amazing work Portia continues to do every day 💙
