Receiving feedback like this after delivering Mental Health First Aid means so much to me. Knowing participants walk away feeling confident, calm and equipped to support others is exactly why I do this work.

Thank you for trusting the process and for the work you do in supporting people every day. It’s an absolute privilege to be part of strengthening our community in this way.

Sometimes the difference between silence and support is one person who knows what to say.

Someone you know, a colleague, a friend, a family member, may be struggling right now. Would you know how to recognise the signs? Would you feel confident starting the conversation?

Our Standard Mental Health First Aid course gives you practical, evidence-based skills to step in with care, compassion and clarity during a mental health problem or crisis.

Be the calm voice.
Be the safe space.
Be the reason someone feels less alone.

Hi, I’m Eloise, Director & Lead Trainer at Healthy Minds NQ

For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people during some of the most challenging seasons of their lives through community housing, mental health and (alcohol and other drugs) AOD counselling.

I’ve witnessed incredible resilience, but I’ve also seen the quiet toll that burnout and compassion fatigue can take on the people who care the most.

That’s why this work means so much to me. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, supported and safe. This including the professionals holding space for others every single day.

I work with workplaces, schools and community organisations to build resilience, strengthen wellbeing and create psychologically safer environments where people can truly thrive.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect. Send me a message and let’s start building stronger, healthier communities together.

We recently had the privilege of delivering training through the Sisters for Change Program with the Red Cross at the Townsville Women’s Correctional Centre and the experience was nothing short of powerful.

Nine women have now returned into the general population of the prison equipped with practical skills, confidence, and the ability to respond to mental health crises should they arise within the prison community.

This is why education matters.
This is why access matters.
This is why opportunity matters.

When we invest in people with knowledge and tools, we don’t just build skills, we build safer, more supportive environments for everyone.

Thank you to the incredible women who showed up with openness, courage and willingness to learn. Your impact will ripple far beyond the training room.

Understanding how to approach a loved one or colleague who is struggling can make all the difference.

Learn the action plan developed by Mental Health First Aid Australia. Just like physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid focuses on early action. It teaches you to recognise warning signs, offer initial help, and support the person until the crisis resolves.
