💙 Ten Years of Hope, Healing, and Community at Townsville Private Clinic! 💙
What an incredible milestone! Last week, we marked our 10th anniversary with an inspiring and memorable event that truly reflected the heart of our clinic.
The afternoon began with music from our very own TPC Band – 504, featuring talented members from both our staff and consumer community. We were honoured to welcome Assistant Superintendent Damien Smith from the Queensland Police Service as our guest speaker. He spoke passionately about the vital role TPC plays in supporting those experiencing mental ill health and highlighted the strong partnerships we’ve built with QPS and other key agencies over the years.
We also took time to reflect on our journey:

✅ A decade of growth and positive impact in our community
A highlight of the day was recognising our incredible team with Service Awards, celebrating those who have reached 5 and 10 years of dedicated service. Your commitment and hard work have been the foundation of our success—thank you!
Looking ahead, our vision for the next decade is clear:

Our 2025 Art Exhibition, launched on World Mental Health Day (10 October), features powerful works by patients, consumers, and community members—each piece a testament to the healing power of art and the importance of mental wellbeing.

Today, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who fought for our freedom. At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, we honour their memory and reflect on the peace they secured for future generations.

What a fantastic morning at the RSL Townsville Veteran Health Expo!
Our team loved connecting with so many incredible Veterans, sharing conversations about health, wellbeing, and the services available through Townsville Private Clinic.
One of our most important messages on the day was ensuring Veterans holding Gold or White DVA Cards know they’re entitled to free access to mental health services. It’s support that’s here when you need it and you’ve absolutely earned it. 💙
We also enjoyed collaborating with other local organisations who share our passion for strengthening the Veteran community across North Queensland.
And of course… Debbie couldn’t resist stopping by Hounds4Heroes for a few sneaky cuddles with their amazing fur companions 🐾 — they always steal the show!

Today at Townsville Private Clinic, we enjoyed a soulful performance from local band 504, who use music as a powerful tool to connect, express and inspire.
Their energy, harmony and heartfelt presence reminded us of the incredible role creativity plays in mental health recovery and wellbeing. Patients, visitors and even neighbouring businesses joined in the joy — a true celebration of community and healing through the arts.

Townsville Private Clinic is a modern 60 bed voluntary private mental health service conveniently located on Wills Street in Townsville’s CBD. We proudly deliver quality integrated private healthcare services to Townsville and the wider North Queensland community.
Our private mental health services work in partnership with Psychiatrists, General Practitioners, general hospitals, Accident and Emergency, public mental health and our key referrers to ensure recovery and an individualised focus for each patient.
Our team of professionals is carefully selected and committed to providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and support for people experiencing mental health concerns. With a focus on high quality inpatient, day patient and outpatient mental health care, we deliver positive patient outcomes for people with acute adult mental health disorders.
Our dedicated and highly qualified team of experienced Consultant Psychiatrists, Nursing and Allied Health professionals foster a discrete environment ideal for treatment and recovery. Specialised care is provided in the least restrictive environment while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality as a first priority.
Our holistic approach to treatment is offered in a safe and supportive environment utilising evidence-based treatment, patient education and therapeutic programs.
Patients may be treated in either an inpatient, day patient or outpatient setting depending on their individual requirements. Where agreed with the patient’s consent, we will seek input from family members and carers in formulating and delivering treatment plans.
