Flag Event for Anzac day is almost here again if you are able to help install the flags put these dates in your diary.

Erecting of flags will be Saturday 18th April @ 9am meeting in the rotunda followed by morning tea.
Removal of flags will be Saturday 2nd May @ 9am again meeting in the rotunda. This is a great way for the community to acknowledge and celebrate our local veterans.

During my search for blue ribbon flags for the cemetery I was contacted by the president of the Blue Knights motorcycle club eastern division who are active and retired police officers, they liked our idea of flying flags on blue ribbon day for our 5 officers and generously sourced, purchased and delivered our flags on Wednesday presenting them to the Cemetery Trust Chairs Robyn Gunn & Linda Davies. Thank you to officer Chris Nott for the lend of his flag this year. Thanks Kelly & Steph for your support and a huge thanks to Glenn Mac BKAUS. lX. and the other 6 officers for the flags.

Snr Sgt Peter Hendy 1948 - 2017 stationed at Moe police station.
Snr Con Thomas Milne 1931 - 2020 stationed at Erica police station.
Sgt Barry Lane 1948 - 2010 stationed at Trafalgar police station.

You may see a flag flying at the cemetery, it’s blue ribbon day on Monday 29th and we wanted to honour the 5 police officers we have at the cemetery. The flag we have borrowed from Trafalgar police station we hope to have 5 flags next year, we also have a list of the officers in the rotunda come up and have a look.
Spare a thought for all police officers past and present on blue ribbon day.

Thanks to Ryan Parsons from Ryan gardens n more of Trafalgar he has started the installation of steps to help with access to the older Anglican section of the cemetery.

It’s very disturbing and disappointing that someone would come up to a cemetery to damage infrastructure. Last night a 4 wheel drive entered our cemetery and hit one of our cast iron seats which will now have to be replaced. Trafalgar Cemetery is run by a trust of volunteers who work hard to maintain the cemetery if you know anything please let us know as it has been reported to the police.
