Pathology - just to letting you all know that pathology results seem to be getting a little slower to get to us, even electronically. My request to you is when you have blood tests coming up to allow at least a week prior to your appointment for us to have them available. I have no doubt your time is just as important to you as to us and we do not like wasting your time if we don't have results available at appointment.

I thought I would take a moment of your time to clarify referrals to Mr Scott. Any referral from your GP is usually for 12 months unless you can ask your doctor to write "indefinite referral" in the letter, then Medicare will allow us to use this longer than 12 months.
If your referral is from a specialist, these referrals only last 3 months.
We do try and notify you when your referral is going to expire but unfortunately this is a manual system and we don't always get the chance to remind you in time.
Without a valid referral we are unable to bulk bill, after the initial consultation.

Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying sun, when we get it!
Just a note about our 'show bags' for those that have bariatric surgery, we always put a restaurant card with your name into these bags. Just a note to look for it as sometimes it may get stuck in a book or assumed it's just a business card, as it is that size. These cards are in the hope that restaurants or cafes will let you eat half meals or off the children's menu and not be charged for a full adult meal. If you have yours feel free to contact us for a replacement.

Just to let you know our Christmas hours. We are closed from Friday 22nd December 2023 and will reopen on Monday 15th January 2024.
Our last clinic day for 2023 is this Thursday.

I understand the word is out that Mr Scott has Covid. Yes he is off work this week and will be back at work next Monday.

COVID is not going away! Just a reminder that if you are booked for bariatric surgery and you unfortunately get Covid you must wait 7 weeks from time of contracting Covid until surgery. If this happens to you please just ring us on 51740036 and we will get you a new date.
