One of my favourite things is being in a hotel room, alone, after the Ultimate Girls Week Away. It gives me time to reground, take a breath, rest, and deep dive into the week.

I usually journal, order room service, watch Netflix, sleep, reorganise and sort my retreat supplies, and always have a massage.

That week to regroup is important in my self-care as a woman and a retreat designer, and the ritual of this allows me to stop and process the beauty of what I have created.

What are your post-retreat rituals?

There is something powerful about stepping into a retreat not just as a guest… but as someone learning what sits beneath it.

This year at the Ultimate Girls Week Away I’m opening a small pre-training and behind-the-scenes experience for those who want to understand what truly goes into creating a retreat that lands. Last year was truly amazing and this year is shaping up to be even better.

Not just the schedule. Not just the venue.

But the energy, the flow, the holding, the guest experience, the decisions that happen quietly in the background that most people never see.

Over the years, women have asked me, “How do you actually create something like UGWA?”

This experience is my answer.

You’ll learn alongside us while also being immersed inside the magic of Ultimate Girls Week Away itself.

Not from the outside looking in. But from within it.

I need your help with something, and I genuinely can't decide. 👇

My book, The Power of Retreats, is getting closer to print and I'm stuck on one thing, the size.

I'm choosing between two options:

📖 5.5" x 8.5" — the classic, fits-in-your-bag trade paperback. Easy to travel with, easy to tuck into a carry-on or leave on a nightstand at your retreat center.

OR

📘 7.5" x 9.25" — bigger, more of a workbook feel. More white space, more room to breathe, more room for you to write in the margins and make it yours.
This book is for you, so I want to know what you actually want in your hands.

✨ Small & sleek (5.5 x 8.5)
✨ Big & spacious (7.5 x 9.25)

One of the biggest shifts I see when someone is creating a retreat, is when you stop trying to appeal to everyone. Because the truth is, your retreat isn’t for everyone. It’s for a very specific person. They might be in their 40s or 50s, holding everything together for everyone else… quietly wondering where she went in the process. She’s not necessarily “in the wellness world”… but she knows something needs to change.

When you truly understand her—how she feels, what she longs for, what she’s afraid of—your retreat begins to take shape in a completely different way. Your messaging softens. Your program becomes more intentional. Your pricing starts to make sense. And suddenly… the right women start to lean in. This is why we don’t start with marketing. We start with her.

This morning I was thinking about how most retreats don’t begin with a venue, or a price, or even a date. They begin with a feeling. A quiet knowing that there is something you want to create, something that brings women together in a way that feels different to anything you’ve experienced before.

Not just a getaway, but something that actually shifts people. And then almost as quickly as that feeling arrives… so do the questions.

Where would I hold it?
What would I include?
Would anyone even come?

This is the moment most women stop. Not because they aren’t capable… but because they don’t yet have the structure to hold the vision. This is the work I do. Taking that feeling and gently shaping it into something real, something grounded, something that women can step into and say yes to. If you’ve been sitting with an idea for a retreat, you don’t need to have it all figured out yet… but you do need to start.

There is a part of every retreat that most people never see, and yet it is the part that holds everything together.

It happens in the early mornings before the day begins, in the quiet conversations between the team, in the moments where something needs to be adjusted or softened so that the experience feels seamless for every woman who arrives. It is in the way a space is held, not just facilitated. It is in the decisions that are made behind closed doors, the energy that is managed, and the care that sits underneath every detail.

For many women, attending a retreat is enough. It fills their cup, gives them space, and offers connection. But there is a different kind of woman who finds herself watching a retreat unfold and quietly wondering how it all comes together. She is not just there for the experience, she is noticing the structure, the flow, the feeling in the room, and she begins to imagine what it would be like to create something like this herself.

That is exactly why the Behind the Scenes experience exists.

This is not a polished overview or a theoretical training. It is an invitation to step inside the retreat before it opens, to sit within the team, to witness the real-time decisions, the logistics, the adjustments, and the way the entire experience is held from beginning to end. You are not just learning about retreats, you are immersed in one while also seeing what it truly takes to bring it to life.

There is something powerful that happens when you are in that environment. What once felt out of reach begins to feel possible. What once felt overwhelming starts to make sense. You begin to see not only how a retreat is created, but how you might create your own in a way that feels aligned with who you are.

For UGWA 2026, there are eight places remaining in this Behind the Scenes experience. I always say this is not for everyone, because it requires a willingness to step closer to something you may have only been thinking about until now. It asks you to trust that nudge that says there might be more for you to explore.

If you have been feeling that pull towards retreats, even quietly, then this might be something worth looking at more closely.

And if nothing else, allow yourself to sit with the idea of what it would look like to not just attend a retreat, but to truly understand how one is created.
