Pulling this one out of the archives because it deserves another look 😍😍😍 — Bec from talking all things pigmentation and her journey with us from a few years ago.

So how do we treat pigmentation at Skinsense? In this particular setting we performed a treatment called Greentoning with our Fotona W-Switch laser.

Greentoning uses a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser with a low fluence, high repetition technique that gently targets melanin in the skin without causing surface damage. It breaks down pigmentation gradually, calms overactive melanocytes (the cells responsible for producing pigment), and over a course of treatments, helps even out skin tone.

It’s best suited to anyone dealing with stubborn pigmentation that hasn’t responded well to topical treatments alone, or those who want a gentler laser option with zero downtime. It’s one of our most popular treatments for clients who want real, progressive results without the recovery.

Pigmentation is one of those things that takes patience, the right treatment, and a bit of trust in the process and this is what that can look like. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Here’s what we’re working with and why:

Piano – This is our foundational laser pass that targets deeper in the skin with a gentle heating action. It stimulates collagen production and works on overall skin laxity – basically waking the skin up from the inside out. No downtime, just that beautiful slow-burn remodelling happening beneath the surface.

Smooth Eye – A dedicated treatment for the delicate skin around the eye area. This mode resurfaces and tightens, softening fine lines and improving skin texture in a zone that most treatments just can’t reach safely. It’s one of my favourite steps because clients always notice this area first.

Honeycomb – This is where we get into resurfacing territory. The honeycomb pattern delivers ablative energy in a precise, controlled way – targeting texture, pigmentation, and uneven tone while leaving surrounding skin intact to heal faster. Think of it like aerating a lawn – strategic disruption for better results.

Micro Peel – The perfect finishing step. We’re exfoliating away the superficial layer to reveal fresher skin underneath, enhance product absorption post-treatment, and give that immediate glow clients love walking out with.

These results are after just one session of vascular treatment on the leg veins, showing a visible improvement in appearance. Clients usually require 1–3 treatments for best results.
