Christmas in July!

For the past few weeks staff have been guessing where the KDSP mystery Christmas in July bus trip was going!

Last night, after trivia and games in the clinic, the team learned they were off to Walhalla for dinner followed by a ghost tour 👻. There were a range of emotions - excited to terrified!

Thank you to Walhalla Ghost Tours for a fun evening!

A moving reminder that while many families never have to think about who will care for their child in adulthood, some carry that question every day. Gerald O’Dwyer does a brilliant job in his role as Sal. This film shines a light on love, planning, and community.

🎬 Exciting news! What About Sal premieres on Netflix in Australia and New Zealand today!

This great Aussie film stars the talented Gerard O'Dwyer as Sal and John Jarratt as his dad. Sal is a young man with Down syndrome on a big journey to find the rock star father he’s never met. It’s a story about family, identity and speaking up.

This is a proud moment for everyone involved in the film and for our community. It’s rare to see people with disability at the heart of a story told in such a real and human way.

Very happy to report that the cheeky budgie has been collected from the clinic and her owner has been found.

She was quite quiet on arrival but after spending time with all of our speech pathologists she was quite chirpy by the end of the day.

Whilst we love our budgie picture in the clinic we aren’t keen for a clinic pet so we would love for this little guy to find his home.

We found him out the front of the clinic. If you know anyone missing a friendly budgie please send them to the clinic 🐦
