Stock up of some of my fave practitioner supplements this time of year!

Floramyces for travelers and gut health! Beneficial yeast strain that keeps the gut stabilized while traveling and can assist with travelers diarrhoea and maintaining a healthy gut flora. Can help reduce Candida flare ups.

Tri Mag restful night! Magnesium that helps the body ease into sleep by helping the nervous system and muscles relax! Much needed for busy parents during school holidays trying to juggle work and family time.

These are practitioner only supps so if you’re looking for some support let me know.

Always the instigator!!

The rooster is just there for back up for when I tell her to get out the door, she runs and he stands his ground until she’s safe back in the yard near the coop 🤣

Almond & Maca waffles with blackcurrant compote, maple syrup, blood orange yoghurt and fresh raspberries.

Sounds fancier than it needs to be as the compote is just the leftovers from making blackcurrant syrup.

My boys love waffles so adding almond meal and maca powder to the mix gives them that extra nutrient profile.

Waffle/pancake mix:
1.5 cups SR flour
1/4 cup almond meal
1 Tbs Maca powder
2 Tbs caster sugar
2 eggs
1 cup coconut milk (or any choice of milk)

Mix well, add more milk if needed for right pouting consistency. Let sit for 10mins before using.

I have a garden bed dedicated just to parsley, borage and silverbeet. It self sows each year and provides for the kitchen but mostly for the pollinators and bugs in the garden Borage brings the bees to the yard and the leaves are fantastic in the compost as it starts decomposition quickly and is high nitrogen that slow releases. The flowers are an absolute delight to munch on too, they taste like cucumber and are lovely on salads.

Parsley is a powerful digestive but in the garden when it goes to seeds it attracts ladybugs which feast on aphids and will keep pests under control. Any plant that produces umbrels (umbrella shaped seed heads) will do the same.

Silverbeet has long thick roots that push through the soil and provide aeration and movement for the decomposter bugs such as roly polys and worms which allows nutrients and oxygen to move through your garden beds and makes watering much easier plus they provide shade to reduce water loss through evaporation.

Other plants you can add that will self seed year on year if you let a few go to seed are fennel, rocket, radish and mizuna as well as most herbs.

Gardening made easy when you start up small and build on your knowledge and resources each year.

Calling all Tassie garden experts 🪴

I have a backyard cabin roof 4x4 with a down pipe and have wanted to hook up a small rainwater tank for ages, 2026 has to be the year 🤣

Has anyone in Tassie installed one of the mini 100l tanks and can give me some feedback? Potentially I can add a 2nd 100l tank as an addition but I’m wondering how much rainwater I’m likely actually able to collect from a tiny roof size.

Would appreciate any feedback you have to offer.

I despise food fearing and this time of year there’s a tonne of it on socials.

One meal alone doesn’t define your day. What I often see in clinic is tired women likely skipping a meal because it’s too much effort to prep or even to eat.

So if you’re trying to start fresh this year and get it right, start out by just adding or doing 1 thing different. When I work meal plans for consults it’s usually modifying your current eating habits and food choices rather than giving you a new food menu to adapt to.
Simply because it’s more sustainable long term and you’re likely to stick to it.

So if you’re eating 1 egg on toast instead of just toast, well done you!! If you’re eating a bowl of granola with yoghurt and berries instead of just a muesli bar on the go, well done you!!

If you’re at “needing support” stage to break the cycle and make change please reach out, let me help you get your energy back 😘

Most of my consults start with a nutritional analysis and tweaks to help you get some immediate results. It’s not about chasing numbers, it’s about meeting the bodies needs.

My brekkie is focused around the amazing fresh berries we’re collecting from the garden each day 🍓🫐

Snippet of a fave spot of my kitchen!!

Would you guess I love plants & coffee 🌱☕️

2026 I’ll be sharing more from my kitchen. MORE food and more recipes. In a world obsessed with shortcuts and packets I want to show you how to real life your health 💚

My passion is helping people to reclaim their health through food and nutritional medicine. It’s why I became a qualified Nutritionist.

You’ll see some lifestyle, a touch of home life, some health tips and def some wildlife and nature but mostly it’s about the kitchen this year.

If you’re wanting an individualized consult the books are open online and more spots will be available Feb/March when life gets back to its normal routine.

I specialize in Gut Health, Food Intolerances, Inflammation, Hormones (any age), Kids and Teen health, Nutritional deficiencies and I take referrals from GP’s for diabetes support, bariatric surgery and more. My range of expertise covers a broader range than this but this is mostly what I deal with in clinic consults.

If you’re not sure, let’s have a chat over the phone. It’s free and you can make an informed decision 📞

So let’s go!

Water kefir stage 1 on the left and the delicious bubbly end result on The right.

First ferment is the water kefir grains in water with some sugar which it consumes and the dried fruit helps to attract the beneficial strains of yeast from the air.

Secondary ferment is the strained first stage with chosen flavour (In This case cherries) in a closed jar to capture the natural carbonation.

The end result is a beautiful slightly fizzy probiotic low sugar drink that helps with Maintaining/developing a good gut flora and hydrates the body.

Cannot keep up with how much my family are loving this combo for summer!

A day at the beach which was bliss followed by a simple bbq at home for dins.

I love a simple green salad and tonight is just cabbage, cos and spring onion with a dressing made of natural yoghurt mixed with gherkin juice and aioli.

Served with steamed new potatoes also highly rated 👌🏻

Brekkie outside post bootcamp before work 💚

Wednesday is my Friday so I don’t mind the earlier start to get on with the day. Bootcamp was uplifting but I’ll feel that in the glutes later 🤣

Brekkie - sourdough spread with butter and Persian feta, silverbeet, egg and parsley. Coffee with collagen.

Getting in nutrients early and carbs post workout to replace energy in muscles which I’ll need for work later.

It’s going to be a hot one today so be sure to stay hydrated, my top choice for hydration is a natural electrolyte. Water with a touch of salt and lemon works well to replace electrolytes lost through sweat but my absolute fave is watermelon juice mixed with some coconut water 👌🏻

Making small changes each day will get you closer to your end goals rather than big commitments that fizzle out when everyday life gets in the way!

Think about the small changes or halfway changes you can make. Some days I walk to work but this isn’t doable every day however I can park halfway and still get a nice 15 min walk in and out 👌🏻

This gives me exercise, fresh air and the mental break I need to support my body and mind. It also saves me significantly on parking costs 😆 and those half walks add up over a week/month to contribute to more walking time that I fully walk to work.

What I’d challenge you to this year is the notion of “what can you do V’s what you think you should be doing” and count the small wins 😘
