Its National Stroke Week!

Let's look after each other, by keeping an eye on our loved ones, and calling for help if they have any of the following symptoms.

The Stroke Foundation recommends the F.A.S.T. test as an easy way to remember the most common signs of stroke.

Using the F.A.S.T. test involves asking these simple questions:

Face - Check their face. Has their mouth drooped?
Arms - Can they lift both arms?
Speech - Is their speech slurred? Do they understand you?
Time Is critical.

If you see any of these signs call 000 straight away.

Dear valued patients of Triabunna Pharmacy,

We will be CLOSING EARLY today at 2.30pm due to unforeseen circumstances.

For anything urgently needed before tomorrow, we will reopen for collections only from 6.30 - 7.00pm tonight to ensure important medicines are able to be collected in urgent cases.

Bowel Cancer Australia - Red Apple Day

Australia has the highest rates of early-onset bowel cancer in the world. The life-time risk of a bowel cancer diagnosis is 1 in 16 persons.

Bowel cancer claims the lives of 101 Australians every week (5,276 people a year) – but it’s one of the most treatable types of cancer when detected early.

While the risk of bowel cancer increases significantly with age, the disease doesn’t discriminate, affecting people of all ages.

280 Australians will be diagnosed with bowel cancer this week (14,534 people a year).

This Red Apple Day, know your family history and your risks, and remember to screen early, to save lives.
