Today’s goal was simple — get out of the house and enjoy some Vitamin D ☀️

A little fresh air, some ball work to build hand-to-eye coordination, keep the body moving, and strengthen up the arms and upper body 💪⚽️

But the biggest win wasn’t just the activity…
It was the purpose behind it.

Before every support, our team takes the time to look at what the goals are for the day, and together with the client we put a clear strategy in place to help achieve them.

Because real support isn’t just “showing up”…
It’s working together as one team — building confidence, independence, and momentum one goal at a time 🙌

I know some won’t agree, but I know most will — because these are conversations I’ve had with others. It just needed to be said.

🚫 Let’s cancel the word “capacity” in 2026.

In our space, capacity is starting to sound a lot like real estate ads.
“Plenty of buyers waiting.”
Most of the time, it’s said to win the listing — not because it reflects reality.

Yes, we all need to let stakeholders know who we are, what we do, and how to refer to us.
That’s important. That’s transparency.

But advertising capacity alone feels more like chasing clients than standing for quality.

Real support isn’t about empty spots.
It’s about showing up when it matters, adapting when life changes, and walking alongside people when the plan on paper doesn’t match real life.

Instead of leading with “capacity available,” maybe we lead with stories:
• When trust was rebuilt
• When independence grew
• When a family could finally breathe
• How can we help you?

That’s not marketing — that’s impact.

If we balanced visibility with values, how different would this sector look?

I have being seeing more and more of this on socials and it got me thinking 💭

What once focused on building independence, life skills, dignity, and real outcomes is now at risk of being misunderstood. Which I'm sure majority of providers and stakeholders are there for the right reasons.

With the rise of TikTok and social media trends, we’re seeing support work increasingly portrayed as selfies, jokes, constant filming, and “hanging out” — blurring the line between professional support and babysitting.

Yes, connection matters. Yes, rapport is important.
But support work is not about content creation, viral moments, or turning someone’s life into entertainment.

It also raises an important question around consent and professionalism:
If someone is working for a company, do they have explicit permission from their employer, the participant, and the participant’s family to be filming, posting, and sharing moments online?

Support work is about:
• Skill building
• Empowerment
• Respect
• Safety
• Purpose
• Accountability

Participants deserve professionals — not performers.
Families deserve trust — not trends.
The sector deserves to be protected — not diluted.

At Elite Care NSW & Central Coast we are proud that we have amazing an team that are here for the right reasons and wanting to make a difference and walk along aside them. And of they were not here for the right reason, I am happy to say they are no longer with us.

So here’s the real question we should all be asking:

Should we be supporting participants to live better lives, or just creating content that looks good online?

I know our answer!

✨ Our New Website Is Live! ✨

We’re excited to share the refreshed look of our website – and a huge thank you to Michael Clarke and his amazing team for bringing it to life.

When speaking with Michael, one thing really stood out:

Websites don’t need to be complicated – they just need to be real, raw, and easy to navigate.

That philosophy aligns perfectly with who we are. The focus was on creating a website that’s simple to use, easy to read, and makes it effortless for people to find the information they need – without the clutter or confusion.

This refresh reflects what we stand for every day: clarity, authenticity, and putting people first.

We’d love to hear from you

Grateful for 2025 🙏 | What a Year

As we reflect on 2025, one word truly stands out — grateful.

Grateful for the growth of Elite Care NSW and Elite Care Central Coast — not only in staff and participants, but in strength, maturity, and purpose as a business. We’ve grown the right way, surrounded by an incredible team and some of the best mentors, who continue to guide, challenge, and support us on this journey.

But 2025 wasn’t just about business — it was about life.

It was about moments and memories with family and friends.
Celebrating Talia’s 21st on Sydney Harbour, surrounded by loved ones.
Watching Fabian get his L’s — a proud milestone.
Enjoying short getaways with the kids, and special escapes with Lisa and I to reset and recharge.
Celebrating the marriage of close friends, sharing in love and laughter.
Reuniting with the boys, picking up right where we left off.

Most of all, it was about sharing most of these moments side by side with Lisa — my partner in life and business. From the highs to the challenges, and everything in between, these memories are what truly matter.

✨ Some 2025 highlights we’re proud of:
• Growing our Sydney and Central Coast footprint while staying local at heart
• Welcoming amazing participants and an exceptional team
• Strengthening systems, compliance, and staff support
• Building genuine relationships with families and stakeholders
• Giving back and staying connected to our community
• Creating space for family, friendships, and life beyond work

To our participants and families — thank you for trusting us.
To our team — thank you for being the heart of Elite Care.
To our mentors, partners, and referrers — thank you for believing in our vision.

2025 has been full — of growth, gratitude, and unforgettable moments.
2026, we’re ready… together 💙

A Refreshing Difference — always.
