We’re delighted to share that our very own Village Manager, Kylie Byrne, has been named as a regional finalist for Village Manager of the Year (NSW/ACT) in the 2026 National Retirement Living Awards.

Kylie consistently ensures wellbeing, connection and purpose are woven into daily life. Her leadership turns ageing well into a lived experience filled with engagement, joy and meaningful moments. We’re grateful to Kylie for the incredible support she gives the residents of Glengara Retirement Village, and we’re cheering her on as we look ahead to the winner being announced in March.

Rochelle – Senior Admin Glengara Retirement Village
“Nothing is ever too much trouble.”
That’s something you’ll hear often when people talk about Rochelle — and it couldn’t be more true.
Since joining the team as an Administration Assistant in Glengara Care, Rochelle has brought energy, empathy and an incredible attention to detail to everything she does.
She recently moved into the role of Senior Administration Assistant in the village and hit the ground running. Now leading a team of three, Rochelle brings a fun and approachable leadership style that makes others feel supported and valued. She’s the kind of person who quietly keeps everything running — stepping up without being asked, jumping in when things get busy, and always bringing her full self to work.
And yes, she bought herself a bike to get around the village more efficiently. Residents often smile when they see the team cycling past, and it’s just one more way Rochelle brings joy to the day.
Rochelle keeps spirits high and brings people together. She holds the residents, her team, and the village itself close to heart, and it shows.
